Hi Vitaly Smile

Ah, 30fps is pretty low, it's starting to struggle with that Smile.

I have been busy with the web / driver-stats side of things and more recently family illness and loss, so I haven't got as much done on the actual game side of things as I'd hope.

I had a setup screen, but it was based on buying components etc which I don't want to do any more. I am trying to convert to use Ogre 2.1 (for speed) and do some PBS materials to improve the lighting quality, then I will give the setups some love and release it Smile

Thanks!

Hi Guys Smile

Thanks for giving it a try, I really need feedback good and bad to improve ORC.

I haven't had anyone report any issues with input lag, it has been pretty instant on both my machines (even my 6 year old machine). What symptoms are you getting? Are you running in windowed mode or fullscreen? Do you have vsync on/off?

Just to give a bit more info, the car isn't based on F1, it's a slightly lower formula - we had an NDA when working with the (ex-)F1 team and didn't want to get sued, so we got access to really detailed information about a lower formula. Therefore it isn't quite the extremes of F1. Although I would be careful about equating difficulty with accuracy, I drove the sim with real F1 values and it was surprisingly easy to drive at 95%, it's getting the extra 5% is the hard bit Smile

I need to make things a little more configurable, but to set the wheel properly do this: -

- Go in-game / on-track
- Turn your wheel 90 degrees
- Move the multiplier slider (bottom right on controllers tab) until the wheel on-screen matches your real wheel
- Drive
- Be Happy Smile

Any other problems, let me know Smile

Thanks!
Ash

Quote from JPeace :it all depends on whether your best buddies with the admins or not. and i think its safe to say i am not welcome in that little circle of idiocy.

pathetic. really is pathetic.

You just need a bit more respect for other people, both in racing terms and when speaking to them and you'll not get any trouble at all.

You are obviously a talented driver, but you are consistently over-aggressive, you mostly don't finish races because of this, which is no fun for you or anyone else tbh.

People in pick-up servers are going to be at vastly different levels of experience / talent, part of a good racer is to avoid incidents with these people.

I regularly have good close races with people who are prepared to give a little room to drivers that are close. In my mind, that is a lot more fun than winning 50% of the time and crashing out the other 50% and swearing at their mother's donkey

I have respect for Failure as I have had great races with him, he leaves room when necessary, but he is a fast and tough racer aswell.

I hope you can learn to relax a little as you are a fast LFS racer and it would be a shame to lose you from LFS imo.

All the best,
Ash
