As you can (hopefully) see, I was toasted

I have tried all suggestions, still no speed. I made a short replay, but have no idea how to post it.

Even a car I had passed on the start blew by me 1/2 way down the
straight!

Clutch temps are barely on the scale

After not ran LFS for several months during the summer, I am back at it.
I seem to have lost quite a bit of straight line speed in my BMW. The AI cars just walk away from me down Blackwoods long straight. I mean just leave me. 3 different setups, all the same.
Any thoughts?

I have only been at this LFS thing for a few weeks, but what a lot of fun!
I realize that I am slow, (PB, 1:17:87 FBM on Blackwood), and I hope
with practice it will come to me.

Why is it that some take pleasure in rear-ending me on the cooldown lap?

I ran into no one, I caused no wrecks, I ran at a respectable speed.

Yet every so often, I am deliberatly ran into from behind, even though
I am well off the racing line.

It still goes back to the same place, about 45 deg
to the left

My recently installed wheel somehow became off centre.
I have looked for some way to return it, but can find nothing
in the Logitech, or LFS software to do it.

Any tips?

The proper setups are downloaded, and show up in the garage.

And, after a bottle of wine last night, my attitude has improved

But we would never let a new guy try to operate using old,
outdated, useless data. That's a sure way to get killed.

If the data is known to be useless, why is it still there?

This is why I asked the question earlier if those setups were
still valid. All I got in return was a SA answer about physics.

Perhaps I am a little touchy tonight, as I just took a paycut at work,

because try as I might, I can't get any new setups to appear in the
garage.

I have downloaded, copied, unzipped (I think) to the setups folder, but in the garage, I see nothing new.

I realize now that my computer skills are not good enough to run LFS,
so I will have to find my fun elsewhere

Then again, not many of you can dive a nuclear submarine AND return
it to the surface, but I can.

I must have had brain fade. I kept looking in the Options
for some sort of setup page.

Will the Easyrace setups listed elsewhere work with
this release of LFS?

Are the downloadable setups by BOB that are linked
to in the beginning of this thread still usable with the
latest LFS release?

If so, are they implemented in the same way?

I new to all this. I have a PC running Win7.
Is the Logitech Driving Force GT a good wheel to start out with?

The Win7 compatibility list seems quite small. Are there other wheels
that will work that are better?
