You guys tried the G25? I've heard it's meant to be good but I'm a bit unsure about whether to just buy it and hope that for £150 you can't go wrong... man no wonder i have no money left Although to keep on topic :P I have seen this wheel for £190, even £200, so £150 does seem like a damn tasty price

Never had any spyware, popups, malware etc etc since I started using this. Great web browser that has loads of cool features. Beats Firefox any day for me... but I guess everyone has different preferences
Did someone say stickyfie?! That's was pretty informative Hyperactive keep up the good work! I never realised you could actually damage the engine in LFS... man this game is just full of surprises
Depends... if you are racing someone you are always trying to out brake them, so then I'd judge my usual braking point and go a bit over. Meh I usually brake to early anyways I take slow in fast out to the extreme :P especially the slow in bit lol
Even though your eye might only see at 60fps and your monitor might only refresh at that speed too the point of high fps is to give you a buffer for high intesity sections. For example... when I play COD2 and someone throws a smoke grenade, my fps dips from 50 to about 15... whereas my mate, who runs his fps at a seemingly pointless 150, only sees it drop to 120ish. I find it playable at about 30ish (same for LFS), so 15 is a bit annoying! lol
Basically your maximum fps rate isn't really what's important as long as it's playable... it's your minimum, because if that is unplayable then it's not really all that helpful
I'm going to agree with other people here and say the video card definately doesn't have enough memory... I've got a 256mb 5600XT and that works fine for me if I set the details down on games (COD2, CSS, HL2 etc etc). Won't play BF2 without oodles of lag tho lol I've given up upgrading mine and am saving towards a brand new system hopefully by March '07 (well you never know!) So that's what I'm doing... but if I was going to upgrade your system I would start with the video card. Perhaps consider something with 256 or 512MB ram? Although really a decent card is gonna set you back £150
Anyways hope that helps, there's loads of advice from everyone here so just pick what you think works out best
Wow works great for me... just an observation though, and I don't know if this is just because I was looking really closely, have u guys modifed the "sunlight" level or something? because the car shadow is now quite well defined and looks really neat! Maybe it was there before but i hadn't noticed it... or maybe it was harder to see on the lighter surface colour? Anyways, it all looks sweet to me! I love those kerbs and the skies are pretty damn cool too! Great work guys, keep it up for other tracks!!
Wow... these suits are pretty amazing
Cheers for the Kimi suit but really, that Honda suit just takes the piss lol don't want to post any of my attempts now! Good work guys and thanks!
Thanks for the advice tag! I've got a 256mb video card, 5600 XT I think, but the rest of my system isn't anything to boast about (mind you neither is that card nowadays lol) but yeah hopefully I shouldn't see much difference I havn't yet! Thanks!
Oh yeah and I bought LFS after 60 minutes on the demo... and man I don't regret it! Except I have exams on at the minute, and it's kidna distracting. Well, I say kind of... it's extremely distracting!
lol these are great textures... I'm downloading loads of this sorta thing at the minute I just think it's cool how you guys actually notice that the standard textures can be upgraded... I have to confess to never actually paying much attention!
Know it's a bit OT but does having loads and loads of high-res textures have a big effect of performance/frame rate? I've got quite a few on at the minute and it's no done anything... I guess it's all down to hardware, and I'm not using amazing hardware. Just wondered if it is significant or not :S
Anyways... viva las high-res! Keep up the good work guys!
I've found everyone online is super helpful sending setups and giving tips on the best lines and stuff... so thanks to you all guys! you make a beginner's life that little bit easier...
Gotta be DC for me - to the best of my knowledge he's won the second most number of races on the grid atm. He's had his golden days, and sadly he will never win the title, but he's a fantastic driver to watch and, when the car is with him, I'm sure he'll do some damage later on this year! Still watching F1, but I have to say I've nearly stopped... just fed up of processions... watch the GP2 fantastic action throughout!!
