I'd love this skin if anyone with some photoshop skills has the time to build it for me. A matching helmet would be great too, or is that asking too much? Thanks
I was in the middle of a race and the game just shut down followed by an error message. This has only happened once to me so hopefully it won't happen again.
Personally, I think this is just another example of the American press setting up a driver with a 'loaded' question and then running the story to promote conflict. This type of thing happens too often over here.
If he were to move to NASCAR I think he would lose a lot of support from Canada. I just don't see it happening. There are numerous drivers in the F1 field who don't even come close to the experience and skill level that JV posesses.
I think Kubica might pose a problem for JV next year (as far as BMW is concerned). It all just depends on how well the rest of the season goes for Jacques. BMW has been improving steadily with their car and that has reflected on Jacques with his 6th place qualifier in USA.
Jacques Villeneuve has mentioned that NASCAR might be an option for him if he finds himself out of a ride on the Formula One circuit next season.
Speaking to the paddock publication Red Bulletin, which is distributed by Red Bull, Villeneuve says he is determined to stay in F1 but is open to other options.
"Going to NASCAR might not be such a bad career move, because it's the most exciting race series in the US and it's a very different discipline to F1," says the former world champion. "I would not consider it a step down.
Villeneuve adds he likely wouldn't make the return trip stateside to join either the Champ Car series or the Indy Racing League in its current form.
"As it stands now, CART and the IRL are looking tired. I would not consider a switch from F1 to either series a good career move. You only do that if you have no other choice, unless you do what Nigel Mansell did - win the F1 title, quit, and then take the Indy championship in your rookie year. That was amazing."
Villeneuve says he would also have to take into considering his family when considering a move to NASCAR as that would mean moving back to the United States full time.
Villeneuve's contract with the BMW-Sauber team is set to expire at the end of this year. While the team has given no indication about which direction is plans to go with its driver selection, youngster Robert Kubica is making a strong case for promotion to full time status next year.
Are there any teams out there looking for a new member? My preference would be a team in North America (close to my time zone), has a website, races with at least BF1's and/or FOX's, and has some kind of a points system for it's drivers.
There is no comparison. The driver skill level doesn't even come close with Nascar. Mistakes certainly don't cost you more in Nascar. Consistancy is way way way more important in F1.
"hit the corners perfect, because small errors lead to 10th's or 100th's off laptime which obviously mean alot more in oval racing."
It's actually the exact opposite.
"car setup is more important in oval racing and also a HELL of a lot more advanced then road course racing"
Not even close.
"There's also drivers in nascar who shouldn't be racing in it right now, but.. thats what money gets you."
There aren't any drivers in F1 that 'shouldn't be racing' and F1 has way more money.
It's just plain foolish to compare Nascar to the highest level of motorsports being Formula 1. Anybody with half a brain (even a Nascar driver) will tell you that.
