I'm astonished by this... I've always thought that it's supposed to be a standing start grid formation but rolling. 100% overlap never ever crossed my mind and now atleast one admin is saying that's been the case this (and last season?) season.
So +1 from me, 100% overlap is total rubbish in my mind. Hopefully this thing gets sorted out now and penalties are given without hesitation if there are infractions in the future.
I reviewed the waving situation from a replay and I have to apologise for blaming you of waving. There was not enough sideways movement to blame you of that.
However in the instance that before closer review felt like waving you did do slight turn to right just before you turned hard to the left and took the inside line. That small movement to left indicated me that you were going to take the normal racing line before braking. I got confused and had already decided to try the inside line and at that time you turned to the inside as well. So at the moment it felt to me like you were deliberately blocking but that was not the case.
So you didn't wave I just got confused by that slight turn to right just before you took the inside line and made quick conclusion before reviewing that situation closer.
I'm not blaming Bawbag in anyway and I doubt anyone is... I just think it should be considered if this matter needed to be included in to the rules in someway. The case that quest driver probably didn't affect the outcome this time is totally irrelevant.
I don't think moe and lfs gt can be compared. Firstly the moe races are way longer than lfs gt races and there is even that 24h event and I do understand that it maybe hard to find enough drivers for those events even from a "good" team. However it should't be that hard to get 2-4 drivers for 3 hours of lfs gt... Secondly in moe it isn't a big problem because almost all of the good drivers is already racing in moe... I can't see someone from Cyber driving for Mercury racing.
The bottom line is that if this IS allowed then it would be pretty unfair if there were a team using few moe "aliens" only and had zero drivers from the team itself also even ONE good driver form another team in the top 3 (GT1) teams could change the outcome of this whole season...
It's not about the speed it's about the princible. I would be against this even if the guy was slow as hell if he's not from the same team. If this is a team race then it is a team race not "who have the fastest friends"-race.
"Since there was no one from the team available in that short period Marius could either have driven alone (which would have been seen as unfair by you aswell I guess) or look for a substitute, which he did."
As I said I see that as a TEAM weakness. In my opinion it's your own fault if you haven't taken this possibility to concideration and chosen possible backup drivers.
And what goes for that "What would you do if you get to know 15 minutes before the race starts that the 2nd driver cannot join due to Inet probs?": We chose few guys before (though not much more than 15min before) the race to be as backups (from OUR team and with zero practice). If I were to disconnect just before the race and not be able reconnect one of the backups would have driven.

I agree with plehto. We (n1Racing) had issues finding enough drivers in few races before and we had to do some compromises. In my opinion it's the teams weakness if they dont have enough drivers or haven't chosen an backup driver and I see this as an team race so it's obviously unfair for other teams.
I totally agree with Profi. I'v been driving lfs from the early demo days (2001-2002??) and used custom view for years and I also noticed the cockpit view to be better when the forced cockpit option came along. It just needed some time to get used but after that it was much better. Actually I used both cockpit view and custom view for some time (changed it depending on if I had a "serius" race or just public racing...) to get used to it... But since patch-Y I'v only used cockpit view and I'm not planning on going back to custom view. I also feel that I get less feedback from the car with custom view.
Thanks to F1RST Racing for the invitation and for organising the event. It was fun racing with good drivers though it was a bit rough at times but after all I really enjoyed the event. I hope there will be a next time.
