Game Freezing
My problem is the following:

I start playing any server, I do 1-2 laps of the race and then, suddenly, the game freezes itself (firstly, it has several little stops), finally, freezing it all.
I have read other messages at this forum. My problem is not the RAM, beacause I have 1 Gb and all programs closed while I'm playing LFS, so, why could it be?

While the game is running, the other runners say they receive a message saying: Ivi's time has expired. Any help?
Because the freeze occures with some periodicity, I would suspect CPU - it might be overheating. RAM capacity doesnt have any effect of LFS stability, you might have damaged RAM module, but it is not probable. I bet that your CPU heatsink is old or damaged so it cannot "take" the heat.

BTW, could you reveal us your PC cofiguration? It would be helpful....
I had this problem, what I had to do was take the side off my PC case and blow my standard desk-fan into it.

Never had a problem since. I got pissed off with this after a while and bought a brand new PC - good for a temporary fix though.

I don't know what was over-heating, perhaps the graphics card. Try getting a new one with a great big fan on the side of it.
If there is something overehating, it is CPU. Overheated graphics card produces image artefacts or bad drawn pixels and textures, but not complete system crash.(well, if GFX is SERIOUSLY overheated, its driver may stop the system to prevent card from destorying, but you would be informed by some error message)

I copy here my pc configuration:
AMD 1,67 GHz
768 MB de RAM
Nvidia ge force FX 5500 256 MB

I will check out if I have any problems with the heat.
And before someone asks...
How hot is too hot?

The answer is: as long as it's stable it's alright. Some do say that running hardware near their temperature limit can shorten the component's lifespan, but take that with a grain of salt. It's more likely for a hardware to break for many other reasons that you don't see people screaming over at overclocking forums.

However if you want to be certain, then run Prime95 torture test for, say 6 hours straight.

Good luck with the troubleshooting!
