I have seen with a few mods that their changelogs are empty/have a dot, which makes it difficult to know what work has been done (if any) or if its just an update to bump it up the list

Yea... I don't like that too but minimum characters requirement simply change nothing... People who avoid to put changelogs will just put something like: "43terfgverwtbdsfg3q4t4grvf" and many times tweaked LFS car became Forza RIP after update...
