If they are really working, it's no problem for me. Remember, the latest LFS physics incompatible patch took almost one year before it was released. Few months to wait better nk pro can't be that hard.

If there is a better nk pro coming, which I'm not 100% sure. They said that they are working...

Also I can think that their situation might have been quite bad as the nk pro assumingly didn't sell aswell as they had assumed.

But of course the sim racing audience, specially here at LFS forums likes to laugh at others sims, whenever there is the possibility or not

nK isn't playable online anymore now anyway (not that it was in the first place). Unless you do it by direct IP. the MySQL servers down.

My outsiders impression is that they released a game because money was tight, and when the game wasn't ready for release and did not sell that well and those who did buy it wanted a refund they where left in dire straights.

After slogging their guts for months to get the product to the shelves, they realised they could not solve all the problems with it easily and that really they had released way too early - which they would have realised sooner if they had cared more about the game and less about the pay check. So instead they buried their heads in the sand and panicked about what the future held, got demotivated, and couldn't see the wood through the trees.

LFS on the other hand is already in a playable state, the devs make it for the love of the game - and that in itself results in a better financial rewards for the devs.

It's suprising isn't it, how our attitude toward money can completely change something as totaly unrelated to money as a driving simulator. God bless capitalism.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought there was a new patch for nkPro. Silly me.

If the major issues (multiplayer etc.) of nkPro which I read about a lot are fixed, then I'll be willing and happy to pay for it! But I won't do that based on only promises...

nkPro has a lot of potential and it's too bad that Kunos had to spoil the fun like this.

I wouldn't actually mind playing nKPro but it's not like LFS is it, you have to pay to play it.

thats a different situation though ... lfs was fully functional when the devs went for their sabbatical (with some very underdeveloped aero physics and a tyre model that wasnt quite right but the game itself was virtually bug free) ... plus we got a little update every now and then that theyre still alive and just taking a little break

and the patch r/s/t/u "mess" showed a completely different attitude from scawen ... he probably was rather burnt out already but kept working releasing test patches all the time until all the bugs were resolved

You're just too hopeful. The game is still a buggy wreck, Kunos didn't say anything about the future of nK and so basicly the situation hasn't changed at all. And I think it won't change anytime soon...
