A rather classic front[-mid] engined rear wheels driven roadster was run on a very short configuration in Rockingham this tuesday and it turned into a touring car style bumper to bumper racing as not many escaped the race without any marks on either front or rear bumper. The Handling configuration did not offer much overtaking opportunities,so drivers had to be patient and use the best chances,occasionally overforcing the issue,however no protests were made,so the hottest things in the race were not tempers but rear tyres - being balanced slightly to the rear,the car deffinitelly had plenty of load to rear tyres.
In Race Green discord server a topic was raised about drivers with same amount of wins as their starts and there are still 3 such drivers,2 of those with single race win from their single race start. The only multirace winner with perfect score is J.Holmes,who won 3 races in late year of 2012,today he returned to RTFR after more than 11 years break and guess what - he kept his perfect score alive! The englishman picked up a clean sweep of achievements from this race,scoring his 4th RTFR race win after leading all 39 laps,3rd pole position,4th fastest lap of the race and 4th top5 finish from 4 starts. The strongest competitor to race winner was his well known rival in many other series - M. The lithuanian lost out just by 0.05 seconds in qualifying and made a strong presence in race leader's mirrors,however the chances for race win were rather non existant and current 2024 season 1 standings and 15 race rating leader had to settle for 2nd place finish,which is his 20th top5 finish. Last step on the virtual podium was taken by Unite,who scored his 79th top5 finish repeating his best result of the season,closelly followed by his teammate in 4th position R.Kardol who scored his 91st top5 finish. The top5 consisted only of previous race winners this time,5th being the only single race winner TJ,who added the 7th top5 finish to his stats.

Next week the server will be handed over to RandomCar - 4th round of the season will be run in South City using Chicane Route in reversed direction. But in 2 weeks normal RTFR will return with one of the LFS's own slick tyre wearing cars,which will be run on rather long and very challenging track,more details as always in the weekend before the race. But in 3 weeks next RTFR XL will be held in other very long track - Kyoto International which is just 100 meters short of 10 kilometers lap length. The car for the challenge will be the 1st returning mod of RTFR XL - FXO V8Supercar,however the return part is a bit questionable as the car has changed quite a lot since it's first run in december 2022 - neither setups or skins will be usable for the updated car. The combo will be set up shortly in RTFR server for laptime testing - as always we need to know best possible lap for distance calculation.
