Announcement of the Zafiralis All Rounder Championship 2025
We are back with another season of the Zafiralis All Rounder Championsip presented by Sim Broadcasts. Following your feedback, we have made a few changes to the event formats and points system, a summary of which can be found at the end of this post.
As the name and logo suggests, the series will feature a wide range of cars and tracks with varying grip levels. The main idea of the series is to have three consecutive rounds in the same track environment with the three different types of tyres before switching to a new track environment. The races will be held on the first monday of each month starting from monday 6th of January 2025. All races will be livestreamed by Sim Broadcasts on their Twitch and Youtube channels.
What: Zafiralis All Rounder Championship 2025 presented by Sim Broadcasts
When: First Monday of every month starting on 6th of January 2025, events start at 20:00 EET
Where: On our server ZFRL•Events
All Rounder Championship format:
We will have an event on the first Monday of every month with 12 rounds in total. The events will alternate between different disciplines: road, dirt and slick tyres, in that order. One race of each different discipline will be held at the same track environment. After three rounds in the same environment we switch to the next one, decided by the driver who scored most points across last three events and has not yet decided this season. First change of environment will occur between at rounds 3 and 4. For clarification, see the event date calendar below.
One round consists of one race using either road, dirt or slick tyres depending on the round in question. New to this season, these different disciplines will have different race formats from eachother as explained below.
- In events using road tyres, the races will be around 30 minutes long with a 45 minute qualifying, no mandatory pitstops. The 45 minute qualifying session will start at 20:00 EET and race start will be at 21:00 EET.
- In events using dirt tyres, we will have a rallycross style event with three sets of heat races and finals. There will be an open practice session before the event, and everyone who set a time will then be evenly distributed into the first set of heat races. After the first set of heats, a new distribution will be made based on the results of the first set of heats and so on. Everyone will compete in three heats with no more than 5 cars each. The total time of all heats for each driver individually will be added together minus their slowest time, this total time then determines the respective final (A,B,C...) and grid position for each driver. We will have as many finals as needed for the amount of drivers, with each final having no more than 6 drivers. Winner of the previous final heat will advance to the next one and the others will have their final result based on their position. The open practice session will start at 20:00 EET and heat races will start at 21:00 EET.
- In events using slick tyres, the race will be around 45 minutes long with a 45 minute qualifying, no mandatory pitstops. The 45 minute qualifying session will start at 20:00 EET and race start will be at 21:00 EET.
If you have any questions regarding the series format or anything related to it, feel free to ask questions either in this thread or in our Discord channel.

Rules:
We will use the Rules of Clean Racing with the following clarifications and additions:
O-1: substantial overlap = front axle must be at least half-way alongside
O-2: a cars witdth of space on raceable surface is considered enough
L-3: lapping car has to make an overtaking move, lapped car may not defend in any way
P-2: no more than 2 wheels allowed to cross the pit exit line
To be allowed to race, you must submit a valid laptime during the qualifying or have previously scored at least one point in our events before. This is to keep random late joiners from prolonging the race start as we have to keep our schedule because of the live broadcasts from every race. For additional protection against late joiners and server hoppers, the server will be password protected after qualifying. Password will be provided to all qualified drivers.
Track limits are defined by walls and raceable surfaces that include everything except grass and dirt. At least 2 wheels must be in contact with a raceable surface at all times. During dirt tyre events, track limits are defined by walls only.
Any incident reports should be posted in the respective event thread or in our discord server. The report should include the round number, lap and/or a timestamp and a brief description of the incident. The deadline for reports is 24 hours after the race start.
Summary of changes from last season:
-The order of events from road->slicks->dirt to road->dirt->slicks
-Road tyre races are 30min instead of 45min
-Dirt tyre events changed to heat race and finals format
-Points system has been tweaked to favour regular participants
