Start of the new season was run with an agile sports coupe that's just over 10 years old on the car market - with just 200 horsepower it's not very powerful, however well balanced and not really heavy for a modern car. In the 4.3 kilometer custom configuration in Aston that combines both shortest standard configurations it surely felt like home - plenty of different turns deffinitelly were mastered by the car if the driver was good enough. A total of 34 drivers joined for this combo which is highest attendance in the latest 9 RTFR events,2 of them did not want to start, another 2 did not want to finish...
Different car, same winner - once again the driver with already most wins in RTFR was on top of the results tables in both sessions, including on top of the positions list whole race long. Gábor was the only driver to beat 2 minutes and 2 seconds mark in qualifying, earning himself the 36th pole position in his 100th RTFR qualifying. Leading all 16 laps gave him a total of 851 laps led in RTFR - that's just 1 less than all time leading count by Botsi. The win was Gábor's 39th,the fastest lap his 36th and the top5 finish - 72nd. Despite being the closest rival,R.Kardol was not really a competition for winner today,so he had to settle 2nd place finish, earning his 98th top5 finish,Suforr took the bottom step of the podium for the 1st time, adding the 3rd top5 finish besides one 4th and one 5th place finishes. Falcon joined RTFR for the first time for almost whole year and added 41st top5 finish to his stats by finishing 4th,closelly followed by another returnee (previous attendace was in 296th RTFR) Mousemen, who scored his 1st ever top5 finish in RTFR,improving his previous best result by a single position.
