The 3rd season of car randomizer series started in South City under typical english weather, only rain was missing. What wasn't missing was the action on track - as always different car characteristics gave chances for some drivers to progress through the race, for some it was trying to not lose positions. From 26 attending drivers,2 retired, but only one before reaching the 50% distance completion required to be classified in results.
This exact track has been used before in RandomCar - in the inaugural season the round 7 was held here and also then there was the same winner. Just like 2 seasons ago R.Kardol led all 17 laps, this time with slightly faster car as the dutchman finished the distance almost 11 seconds faster than in previous race, giving organization the thoughts of possibly adding another 1% of restriction for the Nortz XRT2 in future. Dodislaw drew the lightweight mid-engined coupe Acosta Starlin and deffinitelly used well it's great handling to finish 2nd in the twisty track, allthough losing a total of 16 seconds to winner over 17 laps race. Last step on podium was taken by Nosle in the classic LFS car XRT.
By scoring all possible points out of this round,R.Kardol takes 3 points lead in the standings over Dodislaw,Nosle is 3rd with 5 points gap to leader - after 1st round everyone else is lined in same order as they finished the race this week.
The lead in teams championship has been taken by inaugural season's champions RGA,who leads Sosiski Racing by 11 points and Team S1dus by 12. In nations championship there's an unexpected leader - nation that has been actually banned from most international competitions due certain military actions, closelly followed by race winner's nation Netherlands in 2nd position and defending 2-time champions Finland in 3rd. The constructors championship has been renamed to Best car award and is currently led by the winning car Nortz, which leads Acosta by 3 points and XRT by 5.
A total of 25 different cars were drawn for the season opener, spread over 37 drivers,11 drivers did not attend, taking 3 cars away the chance to score some points. 3 different cars were drawn 3 times, however only 2 of them had at least 2 drivers. Talot remains the all time most drawn car, despite having just a single draw this time,2nd most drawn is Acosta, which got 2 draws this time.
There was another addition to drivers who got the same car for the 4th time - Three Jump received the FZ5 once again, scoring also his best results with the car in this round. The newest addition to RC cars lineup is MZ-S Roadster, which was drawn for 2 drivers, however only one of them attended and set the initial best results for it - 9th in qualifying and 10th in race were achieved by defending RC drivers champion. Houssem was the 2nd driver to receive Hiro CCF2 and also the first to use it,setting the initial best results for the car - 18th in qualifying and 13th in race, interestingly finishing one position behind his own made car.
The winner has already selected the track for next race - we're going right to the next track in list, where a rather unknown configuration has been selected. The Fern Bay Silver Alternative has been used in RTFR 2 times in it's early times, but in reversed direction,so technically it's a new track in Race Green Events hosted races - layout is yet to be properly made, measured and tested before announcing race distance. Also the winner has nominated Coquette for voting that will take place between rounds 3 and 4 - the car will join Cammera in popularity contest to get selected for RandomCar.
