A move up imho. Red Bull are new but hungry (and well funded) and I think MW will give DC a solid run for his money too

eek.
Yep, good move IMO.

Will be exciting to see what Adrian Newey comes up with for them.

Who supplies engines? Still ferrari, I forget...
Yup. The full name of the team is RBR (Red Bull Racing) Ferrari

However, Williams are ditching those fragiles Cossies and switching to Toyota engines next year, so we'll just have to wait and see what unfolds when the not-quite-as-good-as-the-factory-team Toyota engine runs against its Red Bull Ferrari counterpart...

Yes but Williams is run by dead people, their chassis are probably made out of wood still. Their HQ is probably a shed, and they always like to do things "the british way" i.e. badly.

I bet the drivers seat is an old wingback.... Good on you Webber.
LOL
No British team loyalty there

Quote from thisnameistaken :Webber will be a good fit with RBR I think. DC may find himself getting embarrassed a lot in qualifying though.

DC's not that bad at qualifying. He's held up quite well against a couple of fast Finns, and only started to look particularly troubled during the single lap qualifying era.

His race craft should allow him to hold his own with Webber even if he slots in a few spaces back on the grid. A good solid pairing for Red Bull, I think...

Quote from thisnameistaken :He's a meanie. We Brits are generally fond of Williams, since they've produced our last two world champs! I have to say though RBR have impressed me a lot since they arrived in F1. Very refreshing.

I'm a McLaren man... They're British! (Hush about the fact Mercedes own most of them )

Hunt won with them though, you'd know! :P *cough* avatar *cough*

I bet Williams still talk about the war... :talktohan
Oh and they all drive Morris Minors...

mmmm yum yum...
Lol. And the worst thing is I have to agree. Since Newey left Williams, they look like they are always like 2 years back in terms of chassis, aero. In fact this year is the 1st time in a while they look only 1 year back.

The Red Bull image sure suits the outspoken, relaxed, good looking Aussie, doesn't it?

Newey designed, Ferrari powered, cash strapped Red Bull Racing ride? That can't be bad. The only problem I see on the horizon is the switch from Michelin to Bridgestone. Thankfully, Webber will have a full year of experience with Bridgestones!
Well...I keep hearing the Renault engine deal...so:

Renault engines + Adrian Newey chassis + Mark Webber/David Coulthard + LOT's OF MONEY! = A surprise team for next year that should be quite contenders next year, albeit not for the titles, but it should be a breakout year where I think they could snag their first win...could be DC's first in a while, or Webber's first of the career. Now that JB won his first, the pressure will fall on Webbo as he heads towards the record for GP's w/out a win...

*Besides, in terms of Renault engines, Flavio manages Webbo and would seat him at RedBull if he knew something we don't (Ie they're sending over the engines! just a thought though!), I just sort of feel bad for Webbo because he would have looked good at Renault and DEFINETELY would have scored multiple wins next season...can't believe they chose Heikki over him. IMHO Heikki could be the next Kimi but I'd send him to RedBull (if they had the Renault motors) to train him over there and use the Webbo-Fisico experienced lineup to take some GP wins for the factory team.
"Webbo", hehe...spoken like a true Aussie Na zdrowie mate

Hmmm, Webbo being placed by Signor Brio in a Renno-powered RB car would make lots of sense actually. We shall see. Whatever happens I'm looking forward to season '07 a lot more now!

I was, then they shafted Damon Hill and I lost a lot of respect for them.

lol, but Kubica started it...

That makes me think about a certain super car designer who's daily ride is a Fiat 500...

I'm still not sure about Webber, when he and Alonso did their maiden years I thought they where both sensational and very talented, but since then Webber has just kind of been this guy who's constantly under performed when the car was off peak and not put the effort in because he knows he's going to retire anyway. He definately has talent, i'm just not sure he wants to show it to us whilst things are going badly. If by some miracle he qualifies well he puts his foot down for a bit, but a champion needs to give it everything at the bad races too.

As for Fissi he isn't exactly championship material either.

Watching that video reminded me of how good Murray Walker is
