Qualifying Result

The all-new Glendale Park circuit played host to Round 7 of Layout Racing League, featuring fast, sweeping countryside and a tighter, twisty town section. Drivers had limited time to get to grips with the track, new racing surface, and also a slipstream where they can get away with it. Championship leader Suforr barely edged out Team Winner's Dod1slaw for pole position, setting a blistering lap time of a 1:55 dead. Newcomer Ibitoskiller put his Skip Barber in 3rd, just ahead of Race Green's M@CI3K.

The race

The grid was clean away with Dodlslaw initially getting ahead of Suforr into Turn 2, before outbraking himself and giving the lead right back to the Born2Race driver. Further back, M@CI3K was getting in the wars with Delgado, swapping paint as they fought in the opening laps.

A high speed spin by Delgado let M@CI3K back through to 4th, with the Race Green man eventually finishing on the podium in 3rd. A couple of mid-race retirements from spins and excursions brought the final finishers down to just 5, with Flyaway improving from 6th to 4th, and Ibitoskiller being the last registered driver across the line.

Up front, it was a tight dual between the two championship protagonists Suforr and Dod1slaw, with the former coming out on top in what was essentially two drivers on the same pace throughout the race. A well-earned victory for the Born2Race driver and another haul of points to his championship tally.

An abnormally low turnout for the race this time out unfortunately, but the battle up at the front proved an interesting one nonetheless!

The grid moves to Round 8, at the famous 9397 Karousel track, crafted by Lucaf, fondly known as 9397. See you then!
