I'm interested how much slower are the best lap with a game pad is compared to a wheel?

Does anybody have an idea?

search my name on lfsw, as you can see I'm very slow as I only race with pad
seriousley thinking of getting a DFP as my times would improve greatley.
also if you need any help with settings for pad just pm me

I get always the error that for you it can't displayed anything

I can't belive that a wheel will make that much. How much are you behind the WR's?

BTW, in LFSW is no PAD FILTER

Well i use a playstation 2 pad, i find after some practice i am often 2 or 3 tenths off wr pace on most combos. However the more powerful cars need a lot more concentration to drive with a pad, because you would have half an inch each way to work with...so being smooth is hard.

By any chance do you use the ps2 converter because I know someone who can't get LFS to recognise the converter as a pad?

yes but as I said look at my times "CSU1" I use a gamepad
I'm so slow gamepads suck.

Maybe I can't see any hot lap because I'm a Demo guy.
in LFSW your control is Wheel

when I look at your racings, I dont think the problems of your times is the pad, more the fact that you never really race

Yes I admit I am addicted to racing demo xfg_bl gp

if your good, it doesnt matter what you use i use wheel, i still suck so it makes no difference :P

LFSW didn't have an option for gamepad when i looked, do they have one now?

Anyway, i find its hard because its so sensative, but now i am so used to it that i don't notice much. Although i have to physically warm up my controller for a race, it takes about 10 laps to get it to be smooth. And i cannot type while driving, i sometimes risk it on a straight but 1mm movement on my analogue stick will put the car into a wall.
