Flash Professional comes with one that allows you to take any typical video file, encode it into a FLV flash video file to place on your server, and then you have a choice of premade players (skins) that you can use for streaming the video. It is really easy.
I am nooblet when it comes to dealing with FLASH.. I have used Flash MX to create short crappy movies and thats it.. hehe....
I have searched the web all over and cant find any finished ones...
It would be cool to have a Flash player with LFS logo on it or anything
like that as am gonna using it on www.liveforspeed.no
have you tried www.flashkit.com
it is possible, and as far i can see shouldn't be that hard. i made a player that plays MP3's from your computer so the same idea would be applied to showing video.
i'll see if i can find anything on my lunch break...
I've probably found one.. It looked okay, maybe a lill small but I will check it when am not at work cause I cant access my web site from here
I can make you an FLV player. Just tell me what you want. I happen to have Macromedia Studio 8.

He still needs the FLV encoder. And the one that comes with Studio 8 is decent enough to encode videos for streaming on the web, and the predefined skins that he could choose from. It is 123 steps to figure it out.
If someone accturally manage to make me a player, I don't really care how it turns out other then that it should look desent and possibly have something LFS on the player
Would be cool if someone made one. I have no idea how to work that kind of stuff...
Really need to learn desent FLASH....
Hmmm I guess I am not explaining it very well.

Flash 8 comes with a video encoder tool that is basically a "wizard" that lets you choose a video file (.avi, etc...), and you can choose the quality settings for the stream (bitrate, audio, etc.), and then it creates a .FLV file which is the movie file that you place on your server for people to stream. And then when it makes the FLV file, you have steps later on in the wizard that let you choose the Flash Player and skin (lots to choose from), and it has all the play/stop/volume controls you ever need. And basically you just embed that player on your webpage and it will link to the FLV file on your server. Then people can stream it, just like Youtube and such. Google and Youtube's players are a bit more advanced because they generate whenever people upload videos, but if you want to encode the videos by hand, that shouldn't be much of a hassle, it doesn't take long.
I used RIVA flv encoder before i had Studio8 pro.
I've been thinking about it and I guess am just gonna "quit" the thought of putting that stuff out on the web site....
This FLV player is free for noncommercial purposes, streams .flv files and includes source. Making proper .flv files is sort of tedious, but you can automate many conversions with tools such as mencoder, ffmpeg and flvtool.

Okay, thanks.. I will look into that

You are better off uploading them to Youtube or something and embedding the videos on your website Hardly any bandwidth usage at all for your hosting

Yeah, I have been thinking about that.. Would be better to just use YouTube embed on the web site.... I think am gonna go with that...
