i have just installed a new gfx card i bought a nvidia gf 7800gtx, now ever since i installed this new card when i play onlne on lfs my lag goes through the roof! strange thing is say lfs is runing in a window and i click on my desktop so lfs is on screen but not selected, the lag goes away! but click back into lfs the lag shoots back up! no im not downloading anything, and my firewall hasnt changed or anything. i have also updated my drivers to latest ones, no effect... i rolled them back no effect... another strange thing is in singleplayer there is not one bit of trouble can someone please help me?

lag as in multiplayer lag? if so there won't be in single player! and if you mean FPS wise, is HVS enabled?

its actualy online lag not fps lag i have a screenie to show what i mean but nt sure how to sho it to u guys and yes hvs is enebaled it lags every couple of secconds then stops then starts then stops then starts i dont understand it

what bacground stuff do you have? tried disabling it?

nothng else in background running no processes or anything that isnt normally there

come on someone i paid £300 for this card i wana kno if my gfx card is causing it if so, how?

well i dont know how or why but for some inexplicable reason it has stopped doing it now...

Have you tried the latest drivers (since it's a new card, there might be some important driver updates)?

I really don't know what to say, gfx cards shouldn't cause online lag...

delete your card.cfg in the LFS rootfolder.
Lfs still thinks u are using your old card ,which could cause these problems
