I think we've all been taken for a ride on a product that does not work a 100%
Or your computer is broken.

The biggest reason for problems with computers is IBK. 99.9% of all computer related problems are caused by IBK.
Definately not and wat is IBK?

I have 2 PC'S 1 Toshiba Satellite Pentium 4 and it is in the Laptop that it asked to resttart and not the the PC the FF is much better on the Laptop.

So there is defiantely a software problem.

The OS on the PC and the laptop is the same xp pro.

I dont have one computer I have three.

IBK is much the same as PEBKAC
My product works 100% thank you very much. Not a glitch. FFB is strong on full settings and gentle on low settings. Mad oscillations don't start until I really crank up the FFB. Pedals fine, and no loose bits or spiking. Gear change module is nicely built and quite sturdy.

No complaints from me. I think you have just got unlucky, but that doesn't mean the majority have/will. Quality Control can never be 100% effective.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wheel is most likely at my pickup place but it has to be registered in the computer first. Which it hasn't. WHY!?!??!?! Want wheel NOW!

When installing the software did it ask you to restart?
Received my postage tracking number, this means the wheel will definately be here on monday.

314.90 euros.. didn't end up cheap but who cares! It's coming!

Can't remember. I think so, but wouldn't like to make or break your research with a wrong answer.

It just worked when I followed whatever prompts I was given.
Does any one know the WinXP shortcut keys for next / previous track (not lfs keys)?

Will use the Logi profiler to assign it to the buttons on the shifter. Always have I-tunes running in the background, the shortcut keys on the keyboard are a bit orquid to use when racing.

left and right arrow keys...one problem with your plan though...i believe itunes has to be in focus for these to work...which makes the process even more orquid than the keyboard shortcut keys

It works fine when skipping tracks with I-tunes in background (using my keyboard). I presume it must be the same keystroke, or its in the Setpoint drivers.

Will give it a go later
cool. hope it works for you

Ditto, I would have ordered Saturday delivery, but the campus mail room is closed on Saturdays so I wouldn't get it anyway >.<

Look in settings for global hotkeys (the Winamp name, not sure what iBoons would be), it lets you bind shortcut keys to what ever you want.
I'm on XP Home SP2, pretty un-modified install, just the critical/security updates.I also run Norton AV but and Black Ice Defender, but shut them down when installing new apps.

I already had a version of the Logitech profiler installed for my old USB gamepad. The new one installed straight over it, picked up the gamepad, added the G-25 to the list and it just worked,no calibration loss, or FFB problems. Although I can't remember whether or not it demanded a restart.

TBH I thought installing the software was easier than plugging in all of the bits and pieces. I'm wondering if people are describing a software conflict rather than a bug.
Someone should have done the xbox thing with the G25. Buy one in Australia a month ago, then make a video of you completely destroying the damn wheel
Got the G25 earlier today, works great!

If you mean the same Xbox thing that I, the guys who did it arranged "a fund-raising campaign" in internet... so they didn't pay a dime.
After a few hours use, my G25 is now significantly louder when turning left compared to turning right. Bloody annoying - might have to send it back to Gameseek
Quote from ChaseMe :Has anyone screwed the pedals to the floor? I see holes that I think would accomodate this. I have my setup in a closet with a wood floor so I'd love to just screw them straight down. Worried about taking the cover off the pedals to do it though...

Hmmmn so you admit to hiding in the closet OOOOOOH
Mine was a breeze to install, new software over the top of my old (Momo) version of the profiler. The wheel has worked perfectly for four weeks with no problems whatsoever. FFB is very strong at high settings and completely smooth throughout the range.

It makes great coffee, it cleans benchtops, bathroom surfaces and glass without the harsh scratching of other brands. It just climbed Everest and broke the land speed record for an analogue device, and rumour has it that it's up for the Nobel peace prize for not waking sleeping families while sim racing in the wee hours. It has double overhead chrome-plated twin-action enzymes that won't harm your hair and will keep it looking shiny even in the hostile work environment that can cause migranes and back pain which are now both a thing of the past thanks to the G25's medically approved natural oils which attack pain at its source and let you get on with your day. Because you're worth it.

Mine's definitely a bit louder left too, and someone else commented on that earlier in this thread. Could that just be a side-effect of the changes in gearing to reduce slack? Overall it's still a lot quieter than my Momo, especially when turning quickly!
Mine arrived first thing this morning, luckily one of my house mates rescued it from the delivery man as I fast sleeping like a baby and wasn't expecting it to Monday. Anyway, now I've got to try and not use it for a couple of days while I get on with my project work due Monday.
