First off, mods; I'm sorry if this isn't suitable here, you can of course use your quasi-demi-god-like super powers to move this to off topic and not face my anger

I wonder if any of you talented artists can help. Over the years I've been trying to come up with a sort of symbol / logo for myself (online handle), which I can eventually adapt into a larger tattoo piece. Unfortunately my artistic side abandoned me a few years after I got heavily into the computer scene (oh the irony). Basically I have a vague idea of what I'm after, but I just can't put it down on paper, and the 4 - 5 contacts I've had over the last 2 years have all eventually flaked out.

I'm willing to put some cash in anyones direction for something I really like, and something I will use, although I'm not 100% sure what's a fair deal along these lines. I'm reasonably flexible (to a point)

Basically what I'm after is something that meets the vague criteria (I'm a hard bastard to please ):

• It must represent my online nick (the_angry_angel), think wings, angels, devils, symbolism along those lines. I'm not religious what-so-ever though
  
• It needs to be suitable, or adaptable into a larger tattoo
  
• I'd like to beable to use it, or some adaptable version on websites / skins / other graphics
  
• Nothing too cheerful, I'm a miserable bastard most of the time (and yes I enjoy being that way )
  
• Cartoons are out, sorry

I understand it's probably not acheivable to have the very same artwork for all the purposes. Again I'm flexible Perhaps we can come to some arrangement?

• I like H.R. Giger
  
• I like SciFi, I particularly enjoy a lot of the artwork in Eve online
  
• I'm a geek (lets get that out of the way)
  
• I dislike "true" cyber. Organics are also very cool

If you'd prefer to talk cold hard figures first, then that's cool, but I can't guarantee I'll take your design with me Lets bear in mind I've only got the funds to beable to give a reward to the "winning design" (if there is one - I can't guarantee that I'll pick one either). I'm really, really sorry about that as I truely understand that a lot of time could potentially be spent on this If you'd prefer to show off rough sketches, I'm happy to pursue "final" artwork in private if I like the sketches

I've always really liked the moody look of the Dante character from Devil May Cry, especially when he had long hair in the early games.

Also I'm a big fan of the ragged look of Vincent from FFVII Advent children, perhaps a mixture of Dante's brooding and Vincent's "raggedy" style wings might work as some sort of outline in B/W. Your thoughts?

I don't think I can really imagine that combo some how :o (told you my artistic side had abandoned me ) I'm not such a fan of the raggedy wings style Vincent appears to have (I gave up on FF ages ago, so I'm only going by pictures), but I really do like the dark, worn out sort of way you're going with it

If it helps I was always a fan of the characters in comic books trying to do what they thought was right, in a rough and probably questionable sorta way. The punisher, wolverine, etc.
