I need some new front tyres for my 307, not sure which ones to get , anyone familiar with any of these tyres?, I need 205/55/16's, any suggestions?.

Falken ZE 512
Dunlop SP2000 E
Goodyear NCT5
Toyo CF 1
Pirelli P6000

We have P6000s on two of our cars (SAAB 900 2.0l Turbo & Ford Focus 1.6). I think they're great tyres, but I've not had much experience with other tyres. My Dad (who has had other experience) swears by them. They feel good, and they seem to last a long time (and they're not very pricey anymore)

Ye i used to deal a fair bit in road tyres and i always found that the pirelli's were good ones.

I had sorta settled on the Falkens, but reading your replies might look into the P6000's now.......

P6000s are terrible in the wet according to everyone I know who's had them
Goodyear hydragrips are a good all-round tyre if they're available in that size, also the Eagle F1s are great, one of the best in both wet+dry (but won't last as long as harder compound tyres, as they're quite soft)

I've used P6000's in numerous sizes for ages, and I've never had a problem with them. Wet or dry, they stick pretty well.

But now I have crap tyres to make my car even more fun, especially in the wet. I specifically asked for the cheapest tyres going - weee, oversteer here I come!
