Hm...but where will be this general qualification? AS Club?
Quote from Itar (CZ) :Hm...but where will be this general qualification? AS Club?

It depends what kind of qualifying system we use, hotlapping or online qualifying session or something different. We haven't decided that yet but we will do it asap so you can start practicing.
Quote from LFSn00b :Yep...

Haha, why you dont want to get beated? Just because im finnish? "I'm finnish and im proud of it."

"Oi maamme Suomi, synnyinmaa! Soi sana kultainen. Ei laaksoa, ei kukkulaa, ei veettä rantaa rakkaampaa, kuin kotimaa tää pohjoinen, maa kallis isien!"

Lol, Finland FTW^^

Well you being .fi i'm in a disadvantage Finns are crazy, trust me, i know that.
I heard, they shit very often.
i'm not sure about the proposed format.

i'd prefere to see all the quick guys in one pool battling it out.
why not split drivers into 2 servers randomly, then run qualigying on each server. after that the 17 quickest drivers out of the 2 servers go to Pool 1 and the next 17 go to Pool 2.

Points
1st place in Pool 1 = 40
2nd place in Pool 1 = 38
...
...
...
16th place in Pool 1 = 23
17th place in Pool 1 = 22

1st place in Pool 2 = 25
2nd place in Pool 2 = 23
3rd place in Pool 2 = 22
...
...
...
17th place in Pool 2 = 7

Or at least something like that.
So each round you'd do the same thing. Run Quali before the race on 2 servers with random drivers in each server.
One week you might qualify 15th and be in Pool 1 but the next week you might qualify 20th and bee in Pool 2, but it's all still one championship we're fighting for.
Just an idea, what u think?

I think this format is not good, actual format on championship website is better.
Whatever is decided, wants deciding soon though.

BTW, I will DEFINATLY be making this season , hope to have some good battles.

Dan,
Quote from Itar (CZ) :I think this format is not good, actual format on championship website is better.

I haven't changed the format from the Championship website, only how people qualify for each Pool.
Championship structure would be exactly the same.
Not a bad format niki but I want to keep the points system and the format as simple as possible (not like NASCAR where after the season winner has like 1000 points or something).

Basically the format we'll be using is this:

Prequalifying is held (is it hotlapping or other system is yet unknown but not for long anymore). Best 18-20 from that prequalifying drives in Division 1 (or pool1) and rest drives in Division 2 (/pool2) which is its own championship. So at the end of the season we have to champs, div1 winner and div2 winner. This way those who would drive most of the time in server 2 gets something to compete for, winning the div2. After the season is over the top10 from div1 qualifies automatically to season 2 div1 and top3 or top5 or something from div2 aswell qualifies automatically to season 2 div1.
Sounds good to me Kalle.

May I suggest that the track selected for pre-qualifying, is NOT a track used in the actual season?.

I think that for pre-qualifying, the quickest and easiest way to do it is with hotlaps, its not the best form of racing, but in this instance I can't really think of any other way to do the pre-qualifying.

Dan,
Ok Kalle, sounds good to me. Except of the hotlapping of course

Maybe next Thursday (2nd Nov.) run a 20 minute quali session on 2 servers?

I like what Dan suggested, use a different track to have is being used in the league.

I think 20 minutes for general qualification is quite short...
Quote from Itar (CZ) :I think 20 minutes for general qualification is quite short...

well whatever time, that doesn't really make a difference.
in my opinion its too long, 10 mins would be fine. but thats up to the guys to decide, as is everything else

More important is when, where and how its gonna happen.
Just signed up.. AS CLUB HERE WE COME!!!
i just signed up!!! this should be fun hehehhe. first race is AsTon Club
What about putting up a 120 minute or so qualifying session (dunno what's max), everybody comes in, does a couple of laps (lets say we limit the number of laps to 15 or so or limit the time to 45 or 60 minutes) so all 40 get to drive a quali lap. THere are more than 23 qualifiers possible, right?
Wow, 41 drivers now

How do you keep track of how many laps someone does?
What if they do more than 15 laps?
when ATC had a 2 server gp all we did then was have qually on both servers and put all the qually times from both servers. who ever was in 25th place was actually in 1st for pool 2. it takes about 10mins to sort out but it is the quickest way to do things. you could have a 20 mind break from when qually ends til the start of the race as this will give time for the server admins to update forums threads and pool lists.

yeah sounds good, kind what i was tryin to get at.
but if 25th is pole on server #2 then what about the people from 21st - 24th?
what server do they drive on?
I have to say that the entry list looks quite good.
I hope you'll have a magnificient season

I signed up but chose the wrong car Is there a way I can change it?
Quote from Davo :I signed up but chose the wrong car Is there a way I can change it?

I could delete your entry and then you could sign up again but there is no need for that, the choice of car on sign up page is only to give some idea how many XFRs/UFRs there going to be etc.

Thanks for changing my car even though you didn't have to
