wrong - LFS is usually CPU limited due to physics calculations!

And btw, 2.5 is a bit woosie, drop the multi, raise the FSB, raise the vCore, pray the temps dont raise much!

I stand corrected, it's just that it runs so nicely on my old athlon xp machine until I turn up the eye candy.

lol the chips a bit of a dud overclocker and needs mega volts to get to 2.6 Frown summer is on its way as well and I'm only using air cooling so 2.5 is plenty, it idles most of the time anyway and only gets a bit of a workout during LFS or when rendering in 3dsmax. Currently idling at core1-38oC core2-30oC Vcore 1.45 from 1.35.

not from what i've heard, but perhaps they have diff steppings.

Athlon 4000 here, 2.75 Ghz, Air (although needs to be reseated) cooling, 1.55 v, 40 idle and 52 load
