EDIT - Found - it's at the top and im a fool!
Heh, I dunno about spamming the guest book but it is nice to to read (admittedly via bloglines) about his reynard adventures

Hopefully this will push me into commenting more
How bizarre is this thread. I've still got a lot of work to do on that site writing actually interesting content. Now we're not sprinting anymore (no winter sprints that I can find) we're preparing the car for the new year, where I'll hopefully be racing it in Monoposto 2000 (I say hopefully, no promises - I've got two concerned parents and a bank manager to convince first).

The new engine is progressing already. We've had a fireworks party this evening, so didn't do much today other than take the cylinder head off, but so far the new engine looks like it's brand new (it's out of an MR2 - 178hp standard, but closer to 200hp once it's on carbs etc). So hopefully we don't need to even hone the bores.

The rear wing is a mess, with a fugly gurney flap held on by 10mm AF bolts, and the honeycomb slightly delaminating in places, but it's not something impossible to rebuild.

It's pretty much a case of buying a new set of slicks (or a second hand pair from an F3 team, which will only have a couple of heat cycles on them yet be about £30 a tyre), bolting in the new engine, and going racing. Yippee!
Thanks for that Anbiddulph. It would be appreciated if you are going to write "tristan, STOP SPAMMING ON LFSFORUM.net!" in my guestbook three times in 2 minutes, that you would at least capitalise my name, don't use caps, and get your facts right.

As it is, they have been deleted (which took me less than 10 seconds), and you have been named and shamed here. Immaturity is sad.

I didn't think anyone would take my "advise" seriously illepall

edit: 130 days left... well that's quite a time... so you aren't going to go drifting the reynard?
A few more messages, but they aren't rude, so they can stay.

Drifting it? Lol! One of these days I'll put a few clips on to show how much opposite lock was needed to keep the thing in the right direction, let alone hold a drift!!!!

ultra-low-speed drifting on snow

I've have actually done some "drifting" in my polo for quite a few winters now - great fun if you know some unused roads near your village ...
and at 3am nobody really cares
Does your Polo has RWD?
If yes, it's drifter(ish)
If no, you weren't drifting...

edit: does AWD count? http://polo-allrad.de/ <- beware, it's german
