Can somebody help me, and is this problem related to me running the Demo of the S2 Game?

I've got pretty annoyed that I can only communicate to others with ", :-), Good Pass, Good Race, and Hi".

Usually, press "t" to open the chat ingame. Works on demo.

The part about the passwords is a bit above me, though. You might elaborate your problem more precisely.
