Zorer, where is this place that you marked? My favourite place in Turkey is Kas, you must have been there too? MMM the water is so warm there- not like southern Australia where I'm from. Surfing in Winter is not really recommended, but we do it anyway! illepall

That place is Olympos. It is not far from Kaş.Kaş is a vey nice place too but the thing that makes the difference is there's no building in Olympos you have to stay in tree houses. They are both on the "Lycian Way" which is... http://www.lycianway.com/ I'm planning to give it a go this summer. If it happens I will wellcome LFS friends who wishes to join and needs a free guide.

The alternative for Google Earth is Nasa's WorldWind.Nasa gives Mars and Moon 3D maps as well...i got both of them installed.

Sounds like a good idea!
Looks neat... the astounding thing is they seem to be using one photograph for the whole world! And the resolution's just as good as google earth??!! (how is that possible??) No topographic data though, that right?
why i cant spectate Djibouti nice ?
Quote from Electrik Kar :I know it's been around for ages, but I had no idea it could do this!

I just downloaded the latest beta (4), to check out some of the improvements (most notably the topographical/terain improvements). For my little test I decided to hop on over to the Grand Canyon, and... low and behold OMGWTFBBQ!!! :Eyecrazy:

I seriously had no idea. Check out the screen below.. it's a perfectly modelled Grand Canyon. I'm in shock. Amazing to just move around the canyon with the mouse. This is seriously the coolest thing ever!

And Mt Everest don't look too bad either... :zombie:

Its even better in person.

I've never actually seen my countries main natural stone icon, Ayers rock (or Uluru). When my gf and I go to Aus in 2 weeks we'll make a plan to visit some of these places. Hopefully Great Barrier Reef... I'd love to see the Crand Canyon too, and Niagra Falls! But they're pretty far away...
another fine place to view is the 'ring:

just out of interest, maps.live.com is way better than google maps, imo . it can zoom right in on my house and you can actually see the car parked in the drive, while google maps is really high up and you cant even see my street never mind my car.

I've located what I think are all the major circuits in the world. Having said that, I'm sure someone's going to tell me that I've missed an obvious one.
I've tried to mark the pit lane of each track. For some of the older, less well-known circuits it can help with orientation.

Enjoy the attached zipped KMZ file (for use with Google Earth)...corrections/additions are appreciated!

wow. thank you guys
People were racing on Homestead- 25°27'13.59"N 80°24'35.14"W , i saw like 3 cars on the gilles villenueve circuit.
Why am i getting Monza and Spa so blurred? Is my google earth gone mad, or are you getting the same result as i am?
Quote from Boris Lozac :Why am i getting Monza and Spa so blurred? Is my google earth gone mad, or are you getting the same result as i am?

Same on mine.
they haaven't bothered to get higher res images for certain places yet. Eventually they do.(same thing happened at Laguna Seca)/
I don't mind that they are blurred... but the funny thing is, my neighboorhood is in perfect quality..
I tried that Microsoft maps, it doesn't work, it can't find Belgrade, Serbia...
I am totally impressed with Google earth, over whelmed to be more precise.
I read that there are alternatives to it, but i can't be bothered to try them right now, can they really be better than this?
