New licenced cars in LFS?

It may be that real cars and tracks are not that hard to get into your sim, even the permission to use it may be very easy to get. BUT let's think what all we need to know about a car to create it in lfs.

Car:
exact masses, center of gravity, car body data (is the rigidity of a car's chassis modelled in LFS?), engine characteristics, detailed information about suspension plus the look of the car - in 3D, and maybe even the rigidity of certain parts. While this may not sound so much, it's still a lot of data to the manufacturer to give away. And to make the car behave like the real life counterpart, it needs a lot work.

Also the car manufacturer may have made some agreements to let some specific companies use their cars and other data with exclusive rights. As the RA isn't a real production model but a car prototype, created and manufactured by a group of automotive students, it may be quite hard to even find an another one like RA to use it in LFS.

Actually, is there a point to get some very powerful real-alike kart-cars in LFS, since they aren't even that popular. To be honest, I think that a DTM class or GTP cars (like in the mod for nascar2003) or a rally cars for rallycross would be the most expected by LFS community. Maybe even a dragster or trucks but I'm not really sure... Of course it would be nice have all those cars suggested here in LFS, but is there a point to have zillion car types?

We now have 3 GTR hi-power class cars that are pretty equal. We have powerful formulas and powerful GTR fwd cars. What I'd like to see is more equal cars to these classes to make more variety to choose your car from.

Remember that when you ask for a listers or morgans that we already have car like them. The FZ50. Maybe it's not as powerful as the Lamborghini Gallardo or the Ferraris. But I haven't almost never seen anyone driving those online...

Or maybe we could make a poll to choose one car and then let the devs decide if they want to see it in LFS. After all the devs make the decisions.

Out of curiosity, how did the MRT5 and Raceabout end up in LFS? Did the devs approach them or vice versa?

Might also be worth noting who Castrol sponsor these days, if they've taken an interest in Live For Speed you never know...

I think they both involved RSC members who made the connections.
Quote from Madman_CZ :
shame the devs didnt use some real conrers like the corkcrew, eau rouge etc in their fantasy circuits obviously changing them a bit so that they wouldnt get sued......

Dobry den!
The Aston circuit (whichever configs include the Cadet section) has its own version of the corkscrew.
