RBR demo problem.
Hey guys,

Yea i know this is the live for speed forum!

However, i have a bit of a problem. This evening i bought the game on ebay for £5 delivered, so i decided i should try the demo tonight. Downloaded it, installed it and it started... so off i go, check all the settings, throttle/steering etc all worked fine. Then FFB.. oh dear... set to on, full strength and when i press "test" nothing happens.

My CP settings are: overall effects 150%, spring/damper 0%, centering 0%, rotation 540 degrees, reporting split axis.

If anyone can help i'll be greatful!

Thanks.
Post back in RSC's RBR subforum when you've installed the full game and any update patches, if you still get the problem.
Well... do you happen to use separate profiles for different games in the Logitech Gaming software? If yes that might interfere with this.

You should keep Spring Effects enabled, only Damper should be 0%.

i use 0% spring effects and 0% damper and also center spring turned to 0%. i feel the forward motion from the car adds enough "natural" centering imo. i also don't use the dfp profiler. i also found the rbr tends to work better with a lower rotation (for response times, and you'll need them) i currently use 360° for that and TRD3 (but that's arcade :P).

Use whatever you want but a former lead physics programmer for RBR has recommended that only Damper should be 0%. RBR uses Spring Effects unlike LFS. Without Spring Effects feedback is so dull, just try and feel the difference. I use overall 100% and spring 50%.
