Tried to do a test, but was too optimistic as it requires more than few laps to getr used to my shifter again - I was 2-3 secs slower on AS5/FZR :P

On the other hand, it also took a bit to get used to the paddles when I "gave up" on my shifter.

Been driving with paddles for the last 2 months - before that I had been using the shifter for a few months, but never did any comparison - think I'll do one.. after my next league race :P

I "gave up" on it because I was told laptimes will suffe, but I wonder how much is actually lost.
Quote from JeffR :In real life, no lift sequential shifters are faster than standard shifters, so why wouldn't a game be the same way?

Yes, that's the way it's supposeed to be in games too, I guess. But the fact is that you can drive standard road cars in LFS with no lift/blip and with autoclutch. Forcing people to use manual clutch is not going to be a smart move in few years (unfortunately not until shifter+clutch setup is a standard) but at least autoblip/lift should be removed from road cars. That together with better gearbox/clutch simulation shoud make the situation quite a lot more even.
