I'm working on a tool for LFS and coding it in Visual Basic .NET 2005. I want to launch the from inside my program but get this error all the time:



I'v found some topics about this problem, but none solved my problem. LFS itself is working fine. NTFS premissions are fine too.
I tried several ways to launch the exe but none of them worked.

I tried:
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start()
Shell() in .NET
Shell() in VB6
ShellExecute Windows API in VB6
Even tried calling it from a batch file, but even that failed.

Running it with or without a commandline doesn't make sence.

The only thing that worked was moving the compiled exe to the lfs dir, where lfs.exe is. But I dont want this, I want to run it from any location.

A friend of mine tried it too, but no success, same error.

My lfs path is "D:\Games\Live for Speed"
I'm running S2 Patch V
My OS is Windows XP x64 Edition
My account has administrator privileges (Administrator)

U need to set the working directory to the lfs root folder or else lfs.exe will look for its files/textures and so on in ur programs folder

the easy way to do it is to put your program in the lfs root folder

The ShellExecute API allows you to specify the working folder.. although wouldn't VS.NET 2k5 allow you to also?
