No kick/ban on STCC servers. What's the policy for cheats and poor conduct? There was a fairly rough crowd around last night racing BL RX Reverse, everyone expects a few shunts on RX but one guy was deliberately running the short cut after the start hill before the sharp left onto dirt, you know where you run a bit over the sand then onto the grass bank? It gives you considerable race advantage. He was challenged about it and I was first told to mind my own business, then he said he'd only taken the short cut once. As i was behind him in the previous race I saw him take it at least three times. So not only a cheat but rather a poor liar too.
Next race I saw him take the cut at least once then he left before the race ended. I won't 'name and shame' here but if I could have kicked him I would have done. Pity people feel they have to resort to cheating to try and get ahead. it really spoils things for the rest of us.
I'm presuming that use of this short cut is not encouraged in pursuit of STCC licence?

Persistent cutting has resulted in people getting penalised previously, I imagine the same applies here.

I thought that there had been barriers added to prevent cutting where you describe, maybe something changed during a server restart ?

We made the conscious decision not to allow vote-banning, because as much as it can save the day there's always the possibility for it to be abused. If the behaviour is bad enough to be voted on, then it's bad enough to be reported to the admins.. so please do.

It only takes one or two poorly behaved drivers in a field of newcomers to spread the illusion that ramming people off and taking shortcuts is acceptable on any given server, on any given day.

I've seen some drivers, after being penalised, return to the servers as the squeakiest-clean drivers I've seen anywhere.. for some people, it takes a minute or two for the penny to drop, but once they grasp it, they embrace it wholeheartedly. An MPR goes a long way.

In this case I left early in a bad mood and did not bother to save a replay of the events in question

was a shame you left Al, the rotation then ended the motorx racing and we went back to tarmac action for the rest of the evening.... there was no such incidents to report all evening there after which just goes to show that it ain't all bad

He cut every lap except the first in a 8 lap race. When I said he shouldnt cut, his friend laughed loud and he only smiled and just kept doing it... illepall
