I suck, please help (SPR)
Someone proficient (or at least theoretically proficient ) please have a look at this SPR.

On Tuesday, people were running high 3:12s in the event I am practicing for. This is the best I can do and it sucks Although I did drop a full second off of my PB tonight, it still sucks. I don't know what I am doing wrong to be 2.5s off the pace.... Crazy Alien League  illepall

edit: new PB 3:14:40, got a 14:78 hotlap...

For starters, doing a burnout and donuts in the beginning is not always necessary. That will make the car too understeery since the fronts need to be properly heated. And on that note, don't warmup the tires by locking up the fronts slightly and steering.... you should just take turns and put it on full lock each time back and forth. Not that flatspots damper grip performance so much, your tires were just riddled with flatspots before your lap even started

The start of the lap before the line, the chicane was taken really slowly, that can even take off about a half a second right there. Your final drive could be changed so you aren't revving out so high on the straights.

As for your driving and everything else... not much to analyze in depth really. You seem a bit casual coming into the corners and miss the apexs a lot. Even when you do miss an apex, you keep the car too tight and don't drive to the outside to get more exit speed... and that is slowing you down a lot through the corners double-time. You turn in to the corners pretty early many times, and usually are still on the brakes. Brake in a nice straight line to have all two front wheels use the most contact, and then RELEASE the brakes completely and steer the car into the apex.

Try and stay off the brake when you are snapping the car into the corner after the first split. Just keep the car steering through it, but don't keep trying to stick to the apex, and relax the wheel a bit more and only make minor adjustments when the car slides.

The last chicane needs to be taken with an approach on the far right, and brake straight, then just coast the car in really fast while just using the throttle and steering to keep it afloat. Cut the first apex on the left side of that chicane during the entry, but keep the right wheels on the track. If you are too far to the right during the entry, the positive camber angle of that turn will make it very easy to slide your car, and you will have a terrible line for the exit. Once you cut that left apex a little bit, the exit should nearly be a straight path with full throttle applied. Just let your hands to the work for any reactions to the bumps in the process.
note: new SPR (14:78) done before I saw your reply...

This makes sense. I thought I was trailbraking ... If I follow the mentioned method; I find that there is lift off understeer and it messes me up... If I remedy it, then power-on handling sucks

I'll try that. I hate that part, the car wants to push so much up to a point and then it wants to kick me in the balls if I try & throttle steer in there.

I used to come around from the right more than I do, but watching the WR replay I changed it... I'll try and cut it more; I get nervous about dirt Comming off there fast I think is the biggest hurdle for me.

Any thoughts on T1? I hate T1

Well enter with a smooth and nearly straight line by riding on the left curb, and then turn-in smoothly but at the right time. As long as you are braking on entry (the smooth entry area), you should be fine there. Usually the braking should feel a bit early or delayed on the approach to that area, but that is the safest way to do it. It's all in the timing.

When approaching this, the hairpin before this chicane should be taken quickly, but then you should align your car to the outside as soon as possible. Just ride the right side of the track immediately, and keep the car straight on the downhill approach. Then just brake, and as soon as you start to turn and aim for the apex, release the brakes and throw it in the corner there. It is easy to lose the car there, but the car starts to lose control more if your entry is from a big wide turn on the approach. Keeping the car straight and then aiming for the apex on the left to cut, the car will want to snap as soon as you reach the apex, but at that point you should be correcting the car and keeping it straight. Don't even worry about the dirt in this section, it comes off the tires by the time you reach turn 1.

As for Turn 1, same thing. Brake hard and straight, but slowly ease off the brakes and make sure you enter the apex fast enough so that the front tires give you some understeer... and the car's grip will do all the work for slowing you down in the process. But it is more important to get closer to the apex on that turn than anything, and then you can just push it hard out of the corner by going wide on the exit to get a better exit speed. Be safe when you go wide though, too many people will go off just because they try and get the most out of the exit for that corner.
