The online racing simulator
Top 10 things I hate about other multiplayer racers
These are the things that really, really bug me

1. Racers who use the macro "BLUE FLAG!!! GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!"

2. Racers who think slower racers with a blue flag should be veering off the track to let the passing car go by

3. Racers who berate you for "not using your mirrors," when they don't know that there's such thing as a blind spot

4. Racers who attempt to re-enter the race after a severe crash (without pitting first)

5. Racers who try to pass you on a tight and slow turn

6. Racers who rear-end you and call you a crasher

7. Racers who vote to restart after crashing themselves

8. Racers who try to disconnect you if you accidentally hit them, even if they weren't in contention in the first place

9. Racers who think it's a good idea to tweak or test a new setup in the middle of a heated race

10. Racers who beg and beg for the winner's setup, when they don't realize that what they need is skill

I hope that if you've ever been one of these racers you will understand how mad you make people by doing this kind of stuff, and you will never do it again. Thank you in advance.

So you could just type 'Hormone driven teenagers' to save your keyboard
Then dont race...
Quote from BlackSheep720 :4. Racers who attempt to re-enter the race after a severe crash (without pitting first)

I always make sure I don't rejoin into race-pace traffic (and people who don't take care when rejoining really piss me off), but telepitting is for wimps.
Shouldn't you have finished more than 58 races, 397 laps, and 1134 miles before you come on here and complain about these things?

Quote :Travelled distance: 1134 Ml

There is only one thing that bugs me about public racing: People who lack common sense and as a result do stupid things.

Quote from LFSn00b :I'm a teenager, but i drive better than you

No you are not, you have too old mind for teenager

Oh yes, what do you mean you drive better than me? I'm not perhaps fastest, but I don't crash too often, except when someone hits me behind or drives to side as they go too fast and my good but perhaps bit slow car is not capable of immaterializing yet, working on that

Very anoying, but not much you can do about it. Point 10 is not annoying, it's very funny

7 is very childish. You see that a lot. But most of the time they do not get the restard.
point 4 is wrong...
If I have a crash in the middle of...say...20 lap race I DRIVE in to the pits to repair, and believe me - Im driving there fast - every second in that condition equals 5 seconds in normal race conditions...

5. Racers who try to pass you on a tight and slow turn

I don't understand that one. What's wrong in passing on the tighter turns? Of course if it's done wrong, but those people can't pass anywhere.

Quote from LFSn00b :I was just kidding...

And i think i am an average driver, not the fastest, but also not the slowest.

And what do you mean by "too old mind for teenager"?

Well just that, if you would be really a teenager you would type some 7337 text and use lot of omg and lols combined preferrably, also you would whine about not enough big rear wings in cars and that you would like to get some cool lights under the car. No, you are too old to be teenager, oh yes also you don't crash T1 constantly and vote for restarts, no teenager can miss that

I guess I'm rather average too, 1.34.70 at BL GP with XRG, really frustrated that can't go under that

I feel like I've never been a teenager now, I've like jumped from a kid over to an old-fart

Quote from Blackout :I don't understand that one. What's wrong in passing on the tighter turns? Of course if it's done wrong, but those people can't pass anywhere.

because there are some corners where you really shouldn't

2 corners as an example - SO Sprint 1 Rev, T1...

You go round a tightening left hander into a VERY tight right hander - people overtake on the outside of the first part, and push people out of the way as there's no room for them at T1.

SO Sprint 2, Turns 2, 3 & 4...

Your line is critical here, but on the exit of T2 i brake to line myself up for T3, someone is behind me at T2, but slides up the inside on the entry of T3, now i was going for the apex - but now what? if i don't give them room, they will either hit the wall, push me off the track or both, and if i do give them room i'm going into the wall at T4

Some corners should be corners where you shouldn't pass, but it isn't a hard-and-fast-rule - we need something were drivers think about whether its a good idea, some LFS players have it, most dont....

it's called "Common Sense"!

EDIT - I'm a teenager (15), i learnt racing games with NFS:Porsche and then NFS:STFU, then i moved to LFS - i'd like to think that recently (ie last 3-4 months) i've actually become quite quick, although my race-craft REALLY leaves alot to be desired

You talking to me?

edit1. or was it Sprint 1 we were playing...
edit2. oh yes it was!

Quote from Blackout :I feel like I've never been a teenager now, I've like jumped from a kid over to an old-fart

But that is what you are

@noob, you need to train that brother of yours

To subject, I forgot to put this earlier. More things annoy you, less you are consentrating to racing and less likely you are going to win, learn to ignore all annoyances and be calm and consistent, don't let others affect to your calm state any way no matter what they do and you are more than half way in winning race
Quote from BlackSheep720 :These are the things that really, really bug me

7., 8., 9.,10. agree
7. Yeah that´s anger, like Conedodgers, they restart the race when one of they crash, when another racer, that does not belong to CD, crashes they don´t want to restart

Quote from Blackout :You talking to me?

edit2. oh yes it was!

no, it wasn't!

I just came off an STCC server running that with the XFG/XRG's, i was trying to climb my way up the grid (i joined and my PB was 5 SECONDS quicker than the fastest lap of the whole race!) but at T1 a few XRG's would nip down the inside and push me wide - the T1 there is so tight that pushing someone wide makes them smash into the wall fairly hard, in my case, head on! It wasn't directed at you (unless i told you that you are driving way too aggressively - if it was then i stand by it!)

It was the same track we raced on Blackout, but we were in the LX6's, and no n00bs had the balls to try and "tame the beast" (i tried, and did quite well, but i realised that the cider was affecting my driving, and i really didnt need that in an LX6 so i quit before i embarrassed myself!)
#19 - JTbo
I'm using only 2 or 3 gears when racing LX6, really don't see point for using more, but I wonder does that make me n00b LX6 driver?
#20 - Jakg
i use every gear i can find, although 1st isn't good for accelerating away from bends in, and once ive been at the cider then Reverse is quite a well used gear too

Quote from Jakg :i use every gear i can find, although 1st isn't good for accelerating away from bends in, and once ive been at the cider then Reverse is quite a well used gear too

Wouldn't it annoy to you, when you are shifting gears in LX6 like crazy and then comes some fool and you can hear how he shifts once where you do 4 shifts and still you can't be much faster ?

Nah, really I don't think I can do same times as you, but that is not because of gearing :P
@ Jakg

Yeah, I know what you mean, pushing wide is rude and had check from the replay if I had been a bad racer, guess I wasn't The thing is that on that track there is no place to overtake. Atleast if driving the low powered cars when the straight after T1 to accelerate next to someone is too short and the back straight ends in suicidal corners, all that leads to desperate actions, and when you add the typical race lenght...well, there you go

Oh, and you shouldn't be drinking, unless it was non-alcoholic...then you have no excuse for you driving though.

Thought I add the replay of that race. Shows the set moaning and a typical ending for a race on that track which was excellent before that major crash!

LX6 + Clutch + H-Gate + 540 Degree = Sweat + Fun + Slowness

^ The best equation ever ^

Anyway, this went o/t quick!

Blackout - i never criticed your driving! Mine was questionable, but then it always is

Oh! You posted a replay!

Lap 2, you could have (but didnt) do what i mean - had you have just carried on to the apex you would have shown what i meant, ironically i almost did it on lap 3, but went up on the kerb to make sure i didnt squeze you off, it was a good battle till i rolled
