i was playin lfs one day and i turned the steerin wheel too far and it went right the way round...since that, the steering wheel in the game is locked to the left while my steering wheel at home is perfectly straight.

When you say it went "all the way round", what do you mean by this?

The DFP can be set to upto 900o so this indeed possible and should not be a problem.

When you boot up the computer and pull in the DFP presumeably it calibrates correctly and then lines up all level?

Does it show this in the profiler as well?

Also if this happens in game and the wheel locks to one side, press escape go to controls (this removes the force feedback) and you should be able to straighten the wheel back up correctly. Also you can press calibrate in game to reset the axis.
