The online racing simulator
steering display in 3rd person view!
i may be the only of one of the few people who play LFS in 3rd person view, in LFS S1 when you turned off the pedal view you would also turn off this annoying pointless thing as well.....

if the devs would please for god sake bring this feature back in the next patch i would be alot happier. ive payed for LFS S1 and LFS S2, i think i at least deserve this.

It does raise the question that if LFS is a sim why would you play in 3rd person view. Do you sit on the roof of your car when you drive it?

that is a very good point. Mind you people do have different driving styles, but i have to agree, its a sim so why are you playing it outside your car if you want to get the most out of it??
Ok, let's not roast the guy for playing like this.

On topic: More custumisation of the HUD would indeed be a nice improvement, turning off this steering-thing should be included in any patch (or release) that tackles HUD adjustments imho.
Yeah, it would be nice to be able to get that thing out of the way.

i also agree on more HUD customization also by allowing black background on things like rpm or speed viewer (they mess with 3d objects and are often undistingishable), or moving those indicators where is more handy...

second point: this is a sim, BUT i dont see a reason to limit freedom of customized view! there are a lot of people that use 3rd person view just to make it MORE REALISTIC! just think that incar view is the point of view from eyes of the puppet inside car and you view this from a monitor at least 50cm away from you and that you have only a small portion of the field view that you have in real life, one example for all: select 3rd person view, set view point inside car, centered and close to the windshield -> that makes what you see from your monitor, what you would see if you were sitting into a real car...
