I'm searching for some pots but heres the catch...

I can't purchase them online. So, were can I find some in the US, Oregon, Portland area.

Local electronics outlet? If memory serves there's a couple of others on the forum from Portland who might be able to give you something specific, but IMO asking for a local shop on an international forum is a bit of a longshot.

Do you have a Radio Shack or Tandy up your way?
Also a good hi fi or music instrument store (electric guitars, etc) that would do repairs and suchlike, they will have pots available.

ive got 3 ACT Labs pedal that are dodgy as pedals as they eat springs, but the Pots work fine, plug in via USB and are hi-quality - i dont even use them, just a shame you don want to buy online

You can break open an old Playstation controller... X-box pots look like they are made a little better.

My best friend invented a video game controller for FPS games. he's even got a patent for it - finally.

When, or IF my pots for the pedals finally crap out on me, I'm going that route.

This controller he made is basically a joystick controller that's in the shape of a gun (all kinds, pistols, shot guns, assault rifles)
It also has a very accurate light sensor in it and works great with this old quake mod made for light guns. Trouble is Game developers aren't very receiving of this, but Law Enforcement and the Military are pretty interested.

LOL it can also be used for LFS. Y'all think we can get Scawen to make the game where it accepts commands from a laser? If so, screw FFB wheels. This gun would be the PERFECT weapon for all the T-1 crashes.

Well I called Logitech South Africa for some spare pots for a Momo pedal set. Well, needless to say, they simply don't offer spares in SA! Great! Way to go logitech! Anyway, where can I source these pots where the supplier will be able to send them to me. Or could anyone send me the stuff and I'll just do a transfer into your bank account.

digikey.com use to have a Momo kit that contained replacement pots, but has since discontinued them or something. That is the only place I knew that carried replacement pots anywhere.

If your laziness would have a potentiometer attached to it, then we could adjust it from something like "uber-lazy" to "a little lazy". Which wouldn't help much anyway tho, since you'd still be a lazy arse then.

The other relation to LFS is, pot is the abbreviated name for potentiometer. Potentiometers are resistors that have an adjustable value. Your Joystick/gamepad/wheel axis is mechanically attached to the pot, thus changing the resistance as you move the axis. This is interpreted by your game controller software/drivers to an input in a computer game.

Actually, you can even tell without a doubt which ones are the pot smokers with T1 carnage. If you see them driving off without a care in the world imagining them saying "whah eveh maaaaan, I'm auta here...", then they are the pot smokers. If they start yelling and screaming "BAN!!! NOOB!!!!", they definitely are NOT the pot smokers...
