Hi, I was having problems with a player yesterday in our team server, but I didn't get to kick him (it was my first time).

Today I've been trying to do it with a teammate again, but I'm still missing something.

I only get it to work with "/kick lfs_username", but not with "/kick current_player_nickname", so I guess the only way to do it is using their lfs names. But the problem is that I don't know how to look up those names. I've tried the command "/names" which is supposed to work as a toggle switch between player names and user names, but it won't work, or at least I don't know where the change takes effect -not in car names and neither in the connections list-

Our server is the latest dedicated server version.

Any help? I really need to know how to find a player lfs name, because guessing it is... impossible most of the times.

If you bring up the connection list you can just click the K next to their name.

Also, CTRL+SHFT shows LFSName instead of screenname in the position list or above the player if names over cars is on.

Ok, the ctrl+shift thing worked. But clicking on the kick button only starts a vote even if you are admin, so that's not a solution. Anyway, with ctrl+shift I'm fine :-)

Clicking the K or B onyl works if you're hosting the game yourself. If you use a dedicated host then you need to use the /kick + /ban commands.

Press and hold ctrl-shift, then rightclick the name on the connection list, which will automatically start a message to them. Add the duration on the end (e.g. 999), and add /ban at the start, and very quickly you have a ban or kick arranged.
