I´m currently working on what´s compareable to a bachelor thesis at uni and basically the whole thing is a stupid idea to begin with (not mine btw).
The code work in C++ is almost done (we´ll get to that later on) and things were finally looking up again. Then after about a week worth of number crunching (told you the whole idea was stupid and even more so slow) this monday the power went out over at uni taking the cluster and my process along with it. Since I´m already way late on my thesis I tried to work through the night (haven´t really slept since monday afternoon) to finish this damn C++ code (comments mostly and some new functionality - which obviously isn´t working as it should be).
A few hours ago i took a break and spent some time surfing with firefox when some interesting icon appeared in my systray informing me that my system was infected (which is interesting as I´m not running any antivir software and most viruses aren´t that polite). It didn´t give me much time to think about it though since by the time i figured out what the icon was trying to tell me my pc was already rebooting... well not quite as the damn thing took a whole bunch of windows/sys32 files with it.
As you might or might not know the windows recovery console isnt all that helpful (believe me i tried) so I figured my best bet was to install a second windows on another harddrive and salvage what I can. Luckily windows was sort of smart and instead of installing a new sys it managed to fix the one I have (not that I told it to do this or anything it just did - one of the rare occasions windows does something you don´t want it to that actually turns out to be better than what you originally intended). Naturally i spent the last couple of hours listening to antivir beep away happily as it turns up one infection after another and I´m not even running in safe mode yet (even my scene.org folder is terribly infected according to antivir).
And just as if all of that wasn´t enought yet when i tried to relax just a little by flying my piccoz mini heli for a bit, I got annoyed by the instable flight it had developed over the last few days and completely wrecked the rotor mount trying to fix it.

Oh and btw I built a pc for my dad over the weekend and guess what one of the RAMs was shot right out of the box... I feel like I´m the Midas of manure atm... everything I touch instantly turns into cow doodoo.
