The server can't talk to the master server because you're using an OLD version which had a hard coded address - which the master server now no longer uses. Patch V and above no longer have this drawback.

I have made previous versions "unlockable", and the updated executables are available in this thread:

It's worth saying that I haven't patched Q dedi server though - if you would like I could patch that also. I'd recommend using the patch V or W though, rather than Q.

Quite frankly I'm honestly surprised you've not had trouble finding this out. The fact that patch Q doesn't work is plastered across half the board.

errr the patch doesnt work... i put it in the folder also and it still doesnt. said the first time is it correctly installed on hard drive and then cant load font

Which patch. Do you mean the official patches (as in a newer version)?

If you used the Q version from the thread I pasted I will again point out that is not the dedi version. Would you like it patched?

I messed up and told you the rong thing.. i am running 0.5W for the game and then i got the most recent dedi i think.

Well that's not what the screen shot (screen2.bmp) says.
