well, maybe not a bug but i had nowhere else to go with that.
as the topic title says, in that case the ignore funtion does fail.
anything that can be done about it?

Its not really a bug, and I doubt anything can be done, because the quote feature is just a copy of text with a quote tag around it.

Really you could make a complete lie with a quote, because technically its what you (poster) is saying.

Its just a simple function, there is nothing stopping it, plus in the end it wouldn't make any sense if someone just responded to something and you didn't see the quote. It would make threads very confusing if you have blocked a few people. Hence why I never have blocked anyone (not that I have the choice now).

When i've used ignoring in the past I find that doesnt stop them posting and changing the direction of a thread and I became somewhat confused and unable to respond to arguments raised directly about me. The only way to ignore someone, sadly, is just to walk away.

It can be frustrating and intimidating, if you get to a point you feel chased away from something you enjoyed :/
