just because a league that used TBO's has "Touring" in it's name,that doesn't make TBO's touring cars.
Don't miss it, I don't want it back. It looks UGLY as hell, reminds me of an old opel vectra that runs around here with a wing like that. Ugly, ugly, ugly. The FXO actually is pretty damn nice as it is now.

I think the FXO is perfect as it is now... but I wouldn't mind a FWD non-downforce slicks version with max 300hp using the S1-era body. Not to mention similar versions of the XR and RB4 to compete with it 
I too would like it back as a touring car. Touring cars along with Prototypes is all I need from LFS (car-wise) to make me happy.
But...the FXO wasn't a touring car to begin with, it just looked like one with the bolt-on bling. The FXR, however, is a proper kitted-out touring car sort of thing with bling that actually does something besides attract attention from chavs 
Well, no, it wasn't a touringcar but it looked like one. I want it (well, a similar one with a fully ripped out interior, more power, slicks, etc).
Something akin to ETCC cars. Although, keeping in the LFS tradition there's be a FWD, AWD and RWD version...

Actually, a RWD FXR would be quite fun. The 4WD's not nearly scary enough
I think back then, it was a great excuse why the FXO was so much faster, we could always just call foul and go "LOLZ! WE LOST BECAUSE OF BIG WING!" but we lack that excuse now.
Sorry but that wing looks like some crap you'd get 20% off at walmart when you buy a new "performance muffler." No thx!

A "touring" car is just that, a "touring" car. The BTCC, DTM & V8 supercars are not touring cars, they are race cars, based off a "touring" car.
"Touring" means driving along the road in comfort with people along for the ride. The use of the word "touring" in race classes i think is purely an indication that the cars that are racing are based off their road going counterparts.
You don't need big wings on the road car class vehicles. The little sports wings are more than enough. Hell I've got a XRT style rear spoiler on my Holden Commodore, its plenty enough. I don't need no GT style mega-airplane wing to keep me on the road at 50km/h (our local speedlimit in residential area).
Must admit though, the FXO in S1 looked sexy, but with the advent of the GTR class in S2, it was only sensible to tone down the look a tad.

anyone want to make a highres BTCC skin for the old FXO? it looks like that in good old S1 patch H.

So what would a wing do for the FXO ? It's got too much grip at the rear end anyhow and with the new patch coming up the extra weight would probably further nobble it from 25mph to down to 20 top speed. I was thinking of getting my mum one of these new FXOs as a runaround for shopping in town but she would probably prefer a Sinclair C5 as it's faster

The only thing similar between the two might be the fact that they have four wheels, but you get my drift......................... dont you?
I didn't mean to do away with the old FXO but more create a new one with less bhp than the FXR and a more toned down body kit but still adjustable wings, full interior, roll bar etc etc. and then make the RB4 into a WRC car, RBX i think thats one more thing lfs needs.
