Ok "user account control". Well, I have all the priviledges while running LFS, and now I also enabled "XP compatibility mode". I will see what happens.

Like i have everything but when i add my mods such as tire smoke it wont show but i put it in my dds folder and i guess theres a problem.so can you help please.

I have Windows Vista and it works perfectly here too

There is a sound problem in Vista, solved with SP1 I think

ye...using same default wave mapper with soundcard drivers and using them to other sound system.

I found this on Quake 3 arena - no sound and have to use default
