What else is there apart from LFS?
I was recently involved in a bit of an accident, and due a spinal injury I can't use my wheel to play LFS. I suck with the mouse, and it feels so wrong.

So, what does everyone else do when they're not playing LFS?
This was quite good for a while: http://www.plasmapong.com/
So was this: http://nifflas.ni2.se/index.php?main=03Within_a_Deep_Forest
Reading the Schlock Mercenary ( http://www.schlockmercenary.com/ ) comic has passed some time.

Anyone got any good little games/websites?

Edit: I'll put the good ones in this first post to make it easy for anyone else who's looking for a little non-LFS fun:
http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/bloxorz - amazingly addictive, and strangely satisfying to hear UKCT in a state of confusion and frustration.
i used to play this drag racing game nitto 1320 but its full of scammers but still a alright game http://www.nitto1320.com/
heres a very nice comic even if you don't play Half life, its quite funny. http://www.hlcomic.com/

Oh and Miniclip could pass some time if you don't get addicted to the comic.

Gah - forgot about UF! Last time I read that was when I was in my last job. Good suggest shotglass.
Only thing apart from LFS, is your social life.

Once you play LFS, you have no social life as we all know.

Now you dont have LFS, you can meet other "people" not wreckers or aliens.

Operation Flashpoint is quite entertaining, with all kind of mods for it there is lot to explore and it is great fun when played over net too, however best to get similarly skilled group together and start with co-op missions at first, then move up from there.

Of course if killing others is not you thing, you can race in flashpoint too, steer with mouse, also you can fly planes, choppers etc. or take some boats and ships.

If you really do like something different you may like to test Ilan Papini's Virtual Sailor, that is great boat sim, but if you are not interested from boats it might not be very good as it may feel bit boring, same thing like flight simulators.
Dont bother with Virtual Sailor, Virtual Skipper 5 is the best sailing sim out there. Not on the LFS level of simulation, but its the best we have at the moment. The rules of sailing are proving tricky to implement for some reason.
Maybe when Scawen is done with LFS he can go and show the VSK guys how its done

If your not into sailing then its probably no fun

But that is arcade game, with real like boat handling, also there is no 300 meters long cargo ship to navigate in sea that is made from real life depth data
Search for Vector Tower Defence at www.candystand.com - I spent almost an entire day playing that. And I was at work, so probably shouldn't have

There are some other games there, but none as addictive as that. I was a big fan of the original Warcraft-themed TD, but this one is even better.

Sounds like we are after different things from the sim.
Im into yacht racing, and although VSK5 is pants and arcadey in many areas, it provides the best online yacht racing.
When your driving your massive cargo ship into the Solent, look down, Ill be the guy in the racing yacht ducking under your bow to make the next mark
Horses for courses. I have massive respect for the guys who drive the big ships, I wouldnt want that job.

True, true, my thing indeed is not sailing boats, but those with engines

Also Virtual Sailor has online mode too but that is not much of anything really, imo.

Here is what there is for virtual sailor:

http://www.hangsim.com/vs/boats.php

You can make yourself ships, scenery, almost anything to it too, so that is really nice feature also.
Why not actually do something that benefits you in the long run? Perhaps learn something new, a language, a new skill or just read random articles and stuff on Wiki.

So do something constructive and useful
