Annoying Firefox problem: hourglass cursor doesn't go away
Today I finally got around to upgrading FF from 1.5 to 2.0. I was happy to find that FF is now a lot faster rendering pages, as fast as IE in fact.

But there's one little problem with FF2. When a page is loading the hourglass cursor doesn't change into a normal cursor until all images are loaded. This means that when an image link is broken or takes a long time to load, the cursor stays in hourglass mode all the time. Quite annoying.

Strange thing is that Google doesn't seem to know about this problem so either I've messed something up or nobody gets annoyed by this...

Can anyone help? Open this link and witness that the cursor never changes back to normal: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=25496 The IE status bar tells me that an image from battleoftheteams.net is loading forever.

Can't say it's ever annoyed me really, worth remembering that even witht the hourglass you can still click on links and navigate normally, it's just telling you it's still loading stuff.

Yeah, I guess stuff still works, but still strange that IE and FF1.5 don't do this.

I'll get used to it...

EDIT: the problem with the example link I gave above is already gone. Probably means that this problem occurs too rarely to seriously get on anyone's nerves.
