Yeah, what the hell happened to Robby Gordon? He ignored a penalty and got disqualified and then claimed he won the race! That move got him suspended from the Nextel Cup race today.
He's the reason why Nascar has a negative view from some people. Atleast Nascar is a equal opportunity motorsport, they let retards like Robby Gordon drive.
I seriously think NASCAR should release drivers who's actions on the track were unsportsmanlike. Remember Shane Hmeil? He was released because of a failed drug test and not because he tried to take out as much people as he can.
Robbie Gordon's actions in Montreal is not unusual for him. Remember the incident with Michael Waltrip (the one in 2006) ? That stupid move also took out innocent by standard Travis Kvapil in 2006. Robbie's very lucky that Ambrose didn't collect anyone else
He failed like 3, the last of which he was notified about in advance and he still failed. He deserved to be released.
Robby is just a short-tempered moron. It makes for good TV; apparently. It goes along the lines of all the other bullshit FOX plays. His move means more people are talkin about NASCAR, more exposure (despite the fact we're all saturated in NASCAR's bullshit) is something NASCAR wants. Drugs make for bad TV, being an **** doesn't... apparently.
He ran in the Canadian Tire Series race before the Busch race, and he actually had his motor die on him, and he was running double duty on the car (same specs), but was unable to start.
Thank you very much Dustin, I was afraid no one would answer. Kinda strange to be running double duty with such a unreliable car (the #0 isn't exactly doing well in NBS) but oh well
BTW who was that "random Vancouver guy" that you kept referring to earlier?
It was Michael Valiante, I was cheering for him at random, just because he is from around 75 KM or so from where I live. After his engine let go, I swapped from him to Marcos Ambrose.
Also, the car he is driving, is actually a #38 car in CanTire Series, but he was classified (in qualifying onward) as driving a #0 car, and at a time of DNS. He actually took pole in the CanTire race, even though his time was 3 seconds off the Busch pole time.
I do think that having Both Cup and Busch cars coming to Montreal would be exciting, hell, even throw the bloody CTS series there for some intense truck action.
EDIT: They are actually 2 seperate cars, a 38 and a 0, but now I have no idea why he didn't start, becuase he wasn't moving from qualifying either.
