Anyone know where I can find guides to making sponsorship proposals?
Hi all! I just wanted to ask if anyone knew where I could find guides that have guidelines to making a professional sponsorship proposals. I'm trying to get into the world of racing and I need to start making a proposal. Thanks!
You tell them what you can do for them. If they pay you £100 per race then you need to make damn well sure they believe they will make £200 because of the stickers on your car.
And you won't get proper sponsership until they can see you have a reasonable talent, a reasonable car, and a bit more exposure. Running at the back in a clapped out mini won't get you sponsors, but appearing in Autosport every week with a photo might!
When you ring/go to see these prospective sponsors and ask them for money wont they ask you some basic questions about your racing history (I don't know how it works but I'd ask), what kind of events or leagues you've taken part in, any championships you might have taken part in or even won etc, etc.
What exactly are you going to say to them?
I thought when people started racing they paid for it themselves then they moved on to trying to get some sponsors when they could show them something?
