I have a realtek soundcard. The problem is that im on teamspeak and everytime i talk my mic records everything that my computer plays.Like LFS and music and stuff.I tried wut Sam said but i dont have no wave out option. How do i fix this?
do you have voice activation on? I got a realtek soundcard on my laptop, and i dotn have any problems with TS on there. Try looking through your settings on ts, and if thats no success, try having a look at your mic settings through windows. Those are the only ideas i have atm, mic's are'nt really my best subject
Think carefully: Do you mean your mic records the other noises coming out of your PC's loudspeakers, or do you mean all the soundcard's output gets channeled into the teamspeak input?
What i mean is...when i play something or play LFS,everytime i push to talk, everybody just hears LFS or the music.

his mic plays back what his output is......
what you have to do is go into your sound options (task manager) and mute your mic. you are not muting it for ts but only muting it from your output speakers. this is a common problem with newcommers to ts. i use ts for about 8 hours a day (min) for about 3-4 years now.
the easy way to do it is by running msm messenger and using the mic/webcam config utillity on that. (i know msn useful!!!!). this only works sometimes tho
hope it helps.
No actually what i mean is if i record something in the sound recorder the mic would record music or LFS.I want it to record my voice not LFS.

You have "Stereo Mix" enabled. Are you in XP or Vista?

^^ yeah it's steoro mix or one of the sliders in the windows sound control panel, iirc in the advanced settings on the mic turn the 'pc speaker' slider down...or just try the other sliders....sorry im so unclear/my head hurts this mornin
Ok i fixed the problem. Now i have another problem.Today i found out that i cant hear sound from the speakers.there on and everything.I looked in my control panel and it said no audio device. This is very frustrating for me because ive been getting problems everyday. How do i fix the no audio device problem?
Knowing the operating system would help a lot, in this case. I had a problem with Realtek HD audio with Vista (XP and not Vista, sorry for the mistake) because the Realtek sound driver installation is faulty. No uninstall solved the problem, I had to roll back to a restore point just before the installation and perform that again because if you click on the driver installation when the OS pops up the driver install window you basically screw things up. You just have to let the installation flow with no intervention till next reboot. Weird and buggy, you end up with no sound device in Vista, although the Realtek Effects Panel works fine
I have windows XP and ive tried everything from installing new drivers to uninstalling them.Should i roll back to a restore point?
As long as I know, that problem is related to Vista (wrong, corrected below). You could roll back to a working restore point (for instance, the day before the problem surfaced) but you must understand you'll lose every program installed through normal procedures after the date of the restore point (LFS should be unaffected since you have to decompress a zip file).
In this case, first take a look at the peripherals from the Control Panel and see if the sound device is disabled. Check the BIOS too. If the sound devices are present, download updated drivers, try uninstalling the old ones (or try uninstalling the sound device from the control panel applet) and install the updated ones. (Sorry for the confusion, this doesn't work on XP, or at least didn't work when I tried).

Edit: sorry, the problem is related to XP and NOT Vista as I said before. My bad memory. Here you have a sample. A restore point saves a reinstall.
My sound was working yesterday but now it doesnt work anymore.Ive read it and now i know what a piece of crap realtek is
Try using a restore point from two days ago, then. It may work. Check your BIOS before you do it and ensure the sound device is enabled, if you can.
woo it works now ty!
