Hello, my friend (dj-fluxsa) cant connect to the internet, he gets this message "computer did not assign network address"

Anyone know what it is or what he can do to solve it?

Wireless? or wired?.

I imagine the router is set up for DHCP, normally this can be rectified be either "repairing" the connection, or disabling it, and then re-enabling it.

tell him to try unplugging the modem for 3 minutes then plug it back in and wait a while, it should show a message (can't remember at the momeny but it gives instructions to click the repair button)
