That was exactly what George was counting on and it worked a treat. If he could run for a third term, you could bet your ass he'd keep the fires in Iraq stoked for 2008 and try it again. Don't think the Repubs won't try it without him anyway, he's hardly the brains of the operation and they'll do fine without him if they can hold office. Noone to choose from in 2008? Then try someone different. Try Ron Paul if he gets the nomination - he's a Republican but he actually seems to understand what "democracy" and "diplomacy" mean. Please don't tell me you'll vote for Giuliani or that Law & Order guy Thompson

What Americans ( sorry, used the A word ) totally fail to get is the effect they have on the rest of us, to them it's internal, to the rest of the world it's rampant imperialism.

If you'd stop trying to take over any country that contains resources that you want and trying to control ( With US or against US ) the rest of the world then you wouldn't get so much hate mail.

You ( America ) have a completely out of control Executive, no guts to impeach your War Criminal(s), and no interest in the fact that your country ( and by definition YOU ) is hated and despised by an ever growing percentage of the worlds population.

And you seem to completely fail to understand why.

I'm not sure there's going to BE a 2008 election. Many of the political commentators I read have begun conceding that they don't expect Bush to relinquish control. We'll see what happens.

I know they stole the presidency in the first place but that sort of vote-rigging isn't entirely unheard of. Would they have the balls to come straight out and install a dictator?

Well, they already installed a theocracy in the Whitehouse. Bush snr was bitching back in 1992 about the democrats excluding god from their agenda. I think this is the neocon agenda, yeah.
