This would help, but I do think this would be lower down Scawen's list of things to do. At the moment a well-built ramp works fine, as long as you've got speed.
or you could just use these smaller weird things about lfs to your advantage
in fact you dont have traction on any autocross object
a while ago someone here released a layout where you could slide across tyre stacks and other weird things possible with the oddities of the autocross objects ... best layout ive ever seen
Can you please find that topic for me?
Or at least what I should search for, have tried to search, but I ends up with a lot of nice layouts, but not the one you describe in this post :/
making the ramps grippy would almost ruin the fun! tyre bundles are made up of the same material, as are the barriers (i have tried to rig up ramps and drive along with a barrier under each wheel), very slippery.
I reckon there must be *some* technical flaw with the game physics engine as to why Scawen didn't/couldn't make them grippy. Just a guess anyway
Both of the videos posted above is amazing, 1 - because of the great layout and 2th - because someone actually managed to clear the course I have tried but it ends with failure every time
Only the track has grip. Everything else is gripless. Scawen probably saved up on coding and didn't add the code for object grip, because you are not really supposed to drive on objects, except ramps. So not a glitch, just an omission.
When we are talking about autocross and objects, I really hope there will be some new objects added soon, because autocross is fun, but it needs some more objects to be fun to race online with.
not true.. they do have a very small amount of grip. in a UF1 if you put the front wheels on the bottom of the ramps, then accelerate, you'll begin to climb up the ramp.. until the back wheels get on.. then the weight of the car is too high and you start sliding back down
which makes me wonder... if it can have a small amount of grip.. why not more? just the reasoning behind my guess
I have no idea why it is like that, hmmm, I agree that there should be les grip on the ramps compared to the tarmac, but there should at least be a little more grip than it is at the moment.
