But, RB4 is four wheel drive, so its not so easy to turn, XRT is rear wheel drive and its easier to turn into the corners.
I'm faster in XRT, dunno which is really faster...
fastest car in terms of technical values (handicap included) or in terms of skills & knowledge? I think it doesn't really matter which car has slightly more (dis-)advantages here and there because in the end its always a combination of a good driver and a good setup.
Edit: of course, at some point those differences are having big effects but i think when you reach those levels youre a nutter most probably.
i think the main factor of it is down to skill. I have beaten FXO's with the XRT and RB4, yet i have lost against a XRT or RB4 when i am in an FXO etc. To stableX, just have a go with each car on single player, and see which one you feel more comfortable with, eventually, you will get faster and faster with that car.
yeah, what happened there. I remember on the old CTRA, the gold drivers would get the FXO which was definately faster than the others. They did something to it in patch X?
In the STCC league we've found that the RB4 is dominant on all tracks since the master rebalancing, and the FXO is lacklustre and is even slower than the XRT on RallyX.
Admittedly we do use mostly short and medium tracks.
Note that restrictions are not used in hotlapping so the WR's are a moot point.
Considering FXO is unspinnable and a slight tap from behind will have no effect whatsover (contrary to XRT going ass wide), I'd say the slowest performer fits the bill.
XRT is probably the fastest on a absolute scale. But RB4 is not much slower and it's easier to drive, so imho RB4 is the best car. FXO is the slowest now for sure.
The RB4 will give you the best cornering speeds and by far IMO is the the 'best' car to have for any but the longest racetracks. The XRT has stability problems and is trickier to drive than the RB4 but offers a much higher strait line speed.
The FXO is by far the easiest car to drive and can brake the best but with the lack grunt compaired to the other two cars just doesn't perform that well.
The class is much more balanced now than it was, but nothing is ever perfect.
The RB4 takes a bit of skill to keep the momentum up so you can make up for the loss of strait line speed to the XRT but between the two is much easier to drive and is more forgiving when trying to get the ultimate pace.
For absolute pace, depends on the track. The XRT and RB4 are fairly even.
The RB4 is far and away the fastest on short tracks thank to 4WD, the XRT can keep up on longer tracks, but the FXO is now just lame - to counteract it's huge tyres it's got more weight and too little power.
The FXO can't keep up - it should be slow, but not this slow. IMO it needs thinner tyres and to loose the intake restriction.
BTW Jak it's AWD not 4wd =P 4wd implies that all four wheels are directly connected and locked together without Limited slip or viscus diffs =P Least that's how I understood it.
THe RB4 feels like a boat to the FXO, but the FXO just doesn't have the power to keep up =P
OThmm does anyone else think that my use of smileys for punctuation is annoying?)
